@pogostick687@DrHoenderkamp I sympathize with you and appreciate mortgages were easier to obtain but risk was probably higher then as well. Government policies and incompetence are not the fault of pensioners.
Why do people hate the elderly so much?
So tired of listening to the left and some on the right, demonising pensioners for daring to draw a pension, mainly after 40-50 years of hard graft and tax paying.
The same people don't want to discuss or demonise in the same way the 1 million 18-24 year olds not working/paying tax and only taking from the state.
Or the ballooning benefits bill for those who decide that their ailment means that they can just take from the state regardless of contribution.
Benefits should be an acute lifeline or safety net for the very small percentage of us who cannot work or need help to get back to work; not a lifetime activity for those who could but don't work.
Leave the elderly alone; £12,500 a year is hardly a bounty and they earned it.
It wasn’t that long ago millions of young people had some of the best months of their lives stolen from them all to unsuccessfully avoid what was a nasty cold for the overwhelming majority.
To suggest youngsters have not sacrificed anything in recent years is offensive guff.
@RupertLowe10 You have no real qualifications except you have made some money. That doesn’t make you an expert on every thing.
Stop misleading young and and not so young people, Rupert,
@RupertLowe10 they didnt willingly sacrifice
they had it stolen for the express benefit of boomers
children and young adults had vital experiences for life stolen so the most at risk age group could live 8 months longer
@RupertLowe10 This is why you will never be in power. I wonder how many people who lost someone to covid now think you're a cunt? I lost a few friends. You're a fucking idiot and not PM material.
@MantisTobo71665@RupertLowe10 NO!! Our daughter was a Mum of 2 young children and is still CEV, Covid would have killed her so they remained isolated before and after official lockdowns. Children were well cared for and streets ahead with their education on return to school.
@RupertLowe10 Can't help but notice it's 90% boomers who still blindly buy into the covid lockdown narrative. They really do just believe everything the mainstream media feeds them, don't they? Our society sacrifices the young to benefit the old and they still whine 24/7.
@RichardHorovitz@RupertLowe10 Well he HAS a BSc in land management!! Proper qualified to spout his bile about the cold that killed millions NOT!!!! He will lose a lot of followers over this.
@RupertLowe10 You are an unmitigated bastard. I lost friends and relatives to Covid, good decent people unlike you. And you trivialise it for your politics. Just fuck off.
We lost graduation ceremonies, proms, sporting events and dances to celebrate events throughout the year. Critical social events for students outside of the classroom and Milestones in their lives which they will never get back. Never forget! Never forgive! They knew what they were doing
'to unsuccessfully avoid what was a nasty cold for the overwhelming majority'
A lot of survivors feel that way.
The families of the 232,000 lives it claimed just had their loss pissed on by a man who's 'down with the kids,' who will be in his 70s during the next election.
@rod21198@RupertLowe10 And those with loved ones who couldn't attend their funeral and couldn't be offered any comfort. Fraudster with a BSc in estate management hasn't a clue.
@RupertLowe10 “Nasty cold”…????
So why not continue to publicly display your ignorance and your lack of sympathy and humanity for those who died during the Covid pandemic.
@flightbird1978@RupertLowe10 All this from a chap with a mere BSc in estate management. He is a FRAUDSTER, deservedly losing a lot of support over this offensive post.
@RupertLowe10 He's at it again, dragging out the old lockdown lament like a bloke still moaning about a holiday camp he missed in 1960. Young people did lose a lot. But ‘nasty cold’? That’s the sort of thick little minimising dribble that falls out when the grievance gets him too excited.
@DennisLaws95789@RupertLowe10 I am so sorry for your loss and the millions of others. This clown only has a BSc in estate management, he hasn't a clue and will lose a lot of support over this offensive post.
@RupertLowe10 Since we're on the subject of 'offensive', I won't be, but I am allowed to be offended. It wasn't a "nasty cold" that my late wife and thousands of other late wives, mothers, daughters, and girlfriends all suffered from.
@tag4UK@RupertLowe10 So very sorry to hear this. He is getting hammered on FB and will lose a lot of support over his "Covid is a cold" attitude, his qualifications for saying this? A BSc in estate management, not even a BSc in Nursing. Bye Bye Restore.
@Spike_Dash@RupertLowe10 He is getting some proper flack on FB for this post. His medical qualifications for this dreadful post, a BSc in estate management. Not a good look, Rupert a nd will lose a lot of followers, older people and those who lost loved ones to COVID, not a cold.
@RupertLowe10 Gosh mate there was a point when 900+ were dying daily. It was the parents also that wanted their kids protected.
Lousy Mr hindsight comes to mind. Definitely not PM material.
