@leafaithful @almondflyer @leafbarrett @keepithunnid1 @WVeer4Life @BenjaminPDixon “that’s not it works”
gender is a concept, you don’t get to tell me how it works. that’s just called your opinion.
and i still don’t think you understand the definition affirm means
English

@rickytst @neilorpen @DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 I'm sure not all were but it averages out at that
English

@patrickgormli @almondflyer @leafbarrett @keepithunnid1 @WVeer4Life @BenjaminPDixon Thats not how it works, no matter how much you want it to. Even laser hair removal is gender affirming.
English

@leafaithful @almondflyer @leafbarrett @keepithunnid1 @WVeer4Life @BenjaminPDixon When it has the goal of looking more like one gender or the other, yes. In this case, nope. lol
English

@patrickgormli @almondflyer @leafbarrett @keepithunnid1 @WVeer4Life @BenjaminPDixon Surgery to look more attractive is gender affirming, Patrick.
English

Ashley, he’s not affirming his gender. His intention behind the surgery is unrelated to gender. He has not said he cares about appearing more or less like any gender.
He just wants to appear more attractive to the general public by changing his jawline. Both genders prefer sharp jawlines. Jaws don’t have genders.
English

@almondflyer @patrickgormli @leafbarrett @keepithunnid1 @WVeer4Life @BenjaminPDixon No one said all plastic surgery is gender-affirming cate. He didn't like how he looked so he had cosmetic surgery to change it to be more chiseled, that is gender affirming care.
English

@leafaithful @patrickgormli @leafbarrett @keepithunnid1 @WVeer4Life @BenjaminPDixon The intent wasn’t for gender affirming. Plastic surgery is apart of gender affirming surgery, that does not mean all plastic surgery is gender affirming. This is incredibly easy to grasp
English

@9mmballpoint I was waiting patiently for my sin number to make "real money" 🤣 but id probably be strict af as a mom now too, I think because we were wild now were over compensating
English

To give you a sense of how quickly the parenting world has gone insane, I'm a Millennial and my friends and I all worked as babysitters when we were like 12
elizabeth@cobavines
@HighHeelEsquire She is THIRTEEN. If she was 16 or 17, yes this would be crazy overbearing. What are they doing at just 13 they don’t want the mom to see? She’s too young to be totally unsupervised. I don’t think this is too much at all. They’re babies.
English

@leafaithful @DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 How strange when no mortgage company would lend that on those figures
English

@neilorpen @DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 74% of them are couple households, paying 8x more than their yearly income compared to you and your wife's 3.
English

@leafaithful @DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 I have never been able to afford a house on 3x my annual income - I had to include my wife’s income
And include a big deposit
English

@neilorpen @DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 At 3x your annual income, it was alot easier than the 8x it cost now.
English

@leafaithful @DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 But it sounds like the can’t realistically afford this on their own - we couldn’t when we first bought homes
English

@neilorpen @DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 Thats the average price first time home buyers are paying now, in 2026.
English

@leafaithful @DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 Well then you can’t buy a median cost home on your own
Most people buying a home realise that
I suppose it also is clear you don’t need a median cost home if you are single
English

@leafaithful @BenjaminPDixon So Botox is gender affirming care?
English

@neilorpen @DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 Median income in the uk 38k
Median home cost in the uk 300+k
8x
And a 1000 dollar phone is added into the cost of the plan.
English

@DeathlyAcorn @rosie_eats @lindapeter41408 How much did your phone cost - mine cost over £1000
How much does a car cost
If you are looking at houses over 20x your salary , you are also out of touch with what is affordable
English

@JacobStege94400 @BenjaminPDixon He wanted to be "better looking"
Maybe you just don't understand that you dont have to question your gender in order to get gender affirming care.
English

@leafaithful @BenjaminPDixon Is he actually more of a man now that he’s had the surgery?
English

@JacobStege94400 @BenjaminPDixon No, I think he was sitting around thinking he had a weak jaw, and because of that he had surgery to make it more manly
English

@leafaithful @BenjaminPDixon Sure but do you really think before the surgery he was sitting around feeling unsure about his gender?
English

@almondflyer @patrickgormli @leafbarrett @keepithunnid1 @WVeer4Life @BenjaminPDixon Facial plastic surgery because he doesn't like his jaw is gender affirming care. Regardless how you feel about it.
English

@leafaithful @patrickgormli @leafbarrett @keepithunnid1 @WVeer4Life @BenjaminPDixon You’re adding the last part to bend it for your argument, the concern isn’t with manliness he just hated his jaw. Not everything requires some sort of mental gymnastics, just accept it for what it is
English

@boomer_ish @SpeakToFreely @Anas_Sloth @BenedictSpence The debate is about selling your home to keep up with the cost of inflation, instead of having those who are still trying to earn enough to retire cover those costs for you. It is only you talking about getting rid of it.
English

@leafaithful @SpeakToFreely @Anas_Sloth @BenedictSpence What do you think the whole debate is about - if it’s not removing it ? Or limiting it ?
English

What makes a pensioner more deserving of protection from market forces than, say, a young family?
Sophie Corcoran@sophielouisecc
No. I don’t think pensioners should have to sell their houses to retire
English

@AutumnAcer @boomer_ish @LeStyl0 @AKJesterton @shankysanghi @BenedictSpence I dont believe anyone is arguing that, its the talk of taking from those who are still working to retire and using it to top up those who have already retired that is being argued.
English

@leafaithful @boomer_ish @LeStyl0 @AKJesterton @shankysanghi @BenedictSpence Yes I'm not disagreeing with that, buy it was still designed as a penion.
English

@JacobStege94400 @BenjaminPDixon He had surgery to make his jawline more masculine. Think about it...
English

@BenjaminPDixon How does “improving” his looks make him better believe that he’s a man?
English

@connorhopper93 @Jack_Forge13 @BenjaminPDixon Yes. Facial surgery to make their jawline more feminine would be gender affirming care.
English

@Jack_Forge13 @OxHomesick @BenjaminPDixon And if a woman does it? Is she trying to look more male and more masculine or is she doing it to look more feminine?
English
