CALL TO ACTIVISM
CALL TO ACTIVISM@CalltoActivism·
🚨WTF: JD Vance just declared war on our European allies while campaigning in Budapest, Hungary, for Putin’s favorite anti-democratic thug. Viktor Orbán. Is it now official policy of the U.S. to undermine our allies and side with Putin’s buddies? JD Vance is an embarrassment.

Naor Narkis נאור נרקיס
My name is Naor Narkis. I am an opposition political candidate in Israel, a member of the Democrats party, currently running an active campaign to change the government. I am reaching out to you after my Facebook and Instagram accounts were both blocked 48 hours ago. These are not minor accounts. Together, they generate over 25 million views per month, making them among the most influential political voices on social media in a country of just under 10 million people. The suspension came just hours after Amit Segal, one of Israel's most powerful television journalists and broadcasters, known to be close to Prime Minister Netanyahu, publicly attacked my freedom of speech in a series of posts on X. He was joined by several journalists from major Israeli media outlets, all targeting my political activity and my campaign to change the government. His posts preceded the suspension of my accounts by just a few hours. At the very moment my campaign was at the center of Israeli public debate, my accounts on Facebook and Instagram were suspended. As of this moment, I have no access whatsoever to my accounts. Despite reaching out to official Meta employees in Israel, the issue remains unresolved. This is precisely the kind of intervention we have read about in 'Careless People' by Sarah Wynn-Williams, the ways in which powerful social media platforms have been used across different countries to interfere in democratic processes and tilt the balance of power in favor of autocratic and anti-democratic forces. At this moment, I am experiencing what I can only describe as political interference and the weaponization of the world's largest social network against free speech happening here, in Israel. In the coming hours, I will be taking legal action against this interference in Israel's democratic process by Meta. I call on international press freedom organizations, journalists, and media outlets around the world to cover and investigate this case. What is happening here is not just an Israeli story, it is a warning for every democracy in the world.

🚨To every Black person tempted by the antisemitic wave sweeping right now:🚨 Back when white mobs lynched us in the streets... When we had no money, no power, and literally no movement... Who stood with us? Who risked everything? The Jews. They weren't just allies—they were family in the fight. - Jewish leaders co-founded the NAACP in 1909 and funded/led it for generations when no one else would. - When Dr. King and our people were arrested, beaten, jailed—Jewish lawyers defended us for free, and Jewish money paid bail bonds and court fees while others turned away. - In Freedom Summer '64, half the white volunteers risking death to register Black voters? Jewish. - Rabbi Heschel marched arm-in-arm with MLK in Selma—our struggles linked forever. Without their blood, treasure, solidarity, and courage—there is no Civil Rights Movement as we know it. No Voting Rights Act. No dream realized. That's why I stand with the Jews. They were our only true friends when this country hated us—when doors slammed shut and ropes hung high. They showed up, bled, and built with us. So to my people joining this demonic, divisive hate today: Pause. Remember. Honor the alliance that freed us. Our histories are bound. Our freedoms were won together. Betray that, and you betray the very martyrs who died for our rights. Black-Jewish unity forged the dream. Don't let hate destroy it. I stand with my Jewish brothers and sisters—always. ✊🏾🤝✡️🇮🇱 Repost if truth > trends. If gratitude > division. If history matters. #BlackJewishAlliance #RememberOurAllies #StandTogether #CivilRightsTruth #NoToAntisemitism

The most important Oscar speech tonight wasn’t about film. The director of “Mr. Nobody Against Putin” just said this from the stage: “You lose your country through countless small acts of complicity. When we act complicit when a government murders people on the streets. When oligarchs take over the media and control how we produce and consume it. We all face a moral choice. But even a nobody is more powerful than you think.” He was talking about Russia. The audience knew he was talking about America too. Elon Musk owns the platform you’re reading this on. David Ellison is buying CNN — Pete Hegseth said it will be “far better” when he does. The DOGE deposition videos were removed from YouTube. The Epstein files are sealed. The Pentagon won’t release a casualty count. Countless small acts of complicity. That’s how you lose it. A nobody is more powerful than you think. Never stop connecting the dots.

They literally have more of Zelenskyy's "getting shekels" and "laughing in crooked Jew" posters all over the city than they have of the actually Hungarian candidates people are supposed to vote for. This level of propaganda and insane anti-Ukraine brainwashing is Russian Tier.

I am currently in Budapest, and the situation is worse than I imagined. The dictator Orbán is running a real disinformation campaign against Ukraine and Europe in order to stay in power with Russia’s help. Orbán is a threat to Europe and to European citizens.

This is a good reminder that in addition to all the explosions we're seeing on our screens, there will be an entire other war effort going on largely invisibly in cyberspace. Iran cutting off the Internet won't just be to stop videos coming out, it'll be trying to stop other things coming in.
Elizabeth Tsurkov@LizHurra

Someone hacked the Iranian applications for the time of Adhan (ahead of prayers) and religious timings (such as starting the ongoing Ramadan fast, ending it) and is sending messsages urging security forces & especially the national army (Artesh) to lay down their arms.

Tens of thousands of Israelis - Arabs and Jews - demonstrated in Tel Aviv tonight against the government’s failure to curb the crime wave gripping Arab communities. The protest was likely the largest joint Arab-Jewish demonstration in the country’s history

Some updates and observations from Iran: "The country feels like it’s on autopilot." - Every day, new figures emerge about those killed in the protests across #Iran. What is clear is that the government has refused to release an accurate death toll. And these killings are not confined to major cities or a few specific locations. Tonight, I spoke with someone close to the medical staff at a hospital in a small town near Mashhad. What they described echoed reports we have already heard, but the fact that this is coming from such a small place underscores the scale of what has happened. They said they witnessed scenes that will stay with them forever. According to this person, doctors at a hospital in the town of Torbat-e Jam saw wounded protesters being finished off with gunshots by security forces — something that has been reported before elsewhere as well. That such acts took place even in a small city suggests that on January 8 and 9, the authorities intended, at all costs, to force people off the streets, using lethal violence and excessive force so broadly that others would think twice before protesting again. The aim, it appears, was to instill terror and to signal that the government would not back down in the face of dissent. - Another point: many people who were shot during the protests — whether with live ammunition, pellet guns, or birdshot — are refusing to go to hospitals because they fear arrest or even being killed there. As a result, some may be dying from untreated wounds. - Back in Tehran, several friends and acquaintances have told me that nothing feels normal. Everyone is tense and waiting for the next move. Nearly everyone knows someone who has been killed, shot, or detained. “A close friend of mine has legs full of pellets and needs to go to the hospital to have them removed, but it’s impossible,” one told me. “People are furious. Schools and universities are closed most days. There’s no internet. Work has ground to a halt. No one watches state television anymore. The tear gas they used has made many people sick — strange, lingering sore throats. My own family is dealing with that.” - Because people no longer trust the authorities, many are spending hours watching satellite television channels like Iran International and BBC Persian, along with other outlets, trying to understand what is coming next. Nearly everyone I have spoken to in recent days says the current situation is unlike anything they have seen in decades. - Another friend — a young, highly educated professional — told me: “Almost everyone is convinced that we are not going back to the way things were before the protests. The country feels like it’s on autopilot. No one is at the wheel. You can’t work; there’s no income. People are waiting for something big to happen — for real change to come. Controlling the population no longer works. Even many who hold foreign passports and could leave the country have chosen to stay because they want to be part of whatever transformation may come. What will happen next, no one knows.” #IranMassacre

Right. The draft charter of this Board of Peace (which says nothing about Gaza) tries to extort $1b per country to a slush fund controlled by Trump in exchange for permanent membership. It also appoints Trump as chair in perpetuity -- beyond his Presidency! -- and gives him sole right to appoint his successor. Other countries' governments have lawyers. They aren't signing up to this.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47

This is misleading. There is no minimum membership fee to join the Board of Peace. This simply offers permanent membership to partner countries who demonstrate deep commitment to peace, security, and prosperity.
