@drnic Most legislation will require a supermajority to pass the Senate. This is the filibuster rule. Budget legislation, nominations, and ? do not allow the filibuster and just need a simple majority.

I understand US Democrats want a 50:50 senate. But Obama era had the senate but was still blocked because senate needed a supermajority. So does Biden/Democrats need 50:50 or 64:33 ratio before the can pass legislation?
