@deanetts I must have been really lucky in my area because DC and Marvel were available regularly and plentiful in the 1970s. Sometimes the supplier might decide to supply a different shop so I had to shop around but I never missed the comics I wanted.

@lewstringer Yes, real shame, fantastic series. I couldn’t find that many issues of New Gods at the time. Kamandi and the occasional Omac, but not a New Gods in sight. Even in barber shops !

@johndredge I was 23 so it didn't really grab me but I stuck with it for a long time. Glad to hear it went down well with the age group it was aimed at. It was a good comic and had a decent long run.

Apparently 44 years since this first came out. I loved it.
