Prof @vukosi Marivate from @DSFSI_Research delivering the key note address for the #AfricanJustAI2024 conference. AI's potential role in the extinction of African languages, and the surprising statistics around the H100 GPU count were just a few of the topics covered.

The objective was twofold: to launch the Policy Forum of the Special Issue of the @TheHDSR titled "Future Shock: Grappling with the #Generative #AI #Revolution," and to inaugurate a new interactive platform for the Turing’s AI Ethics & Governance in Practice programme.

On June 20, I had the privilege of being invited to the event titled "Future Shock: The #Generative #AI #Policy Dilemma." It was organized by Prof. David Leslie (from @QMUL and Director of Ethics and Responsible Innovation Research at @turinginst) and @harvard_data.
