gm gm. Some of my collected work on @foundation. Unfortunately B&W reportage work is not the flavor of the month. Never was, really. Curiosity about the world and being non-judgmental about the multitude of cultures in it are prerequisites. These images are about the other, and, paradoxically, about me (and the viewer), because self and other are but poles of the same field. It is said that we only start appreciating what no longer is present. Documentary photography therefore is an important piece of the puzzle that is our existence. As the world turns evermore inwards I will continue to focus my lens outwards and hope that there's sufficient support to be able to do that. It's hard to gain visibility and followers on X as a documentary photographer. Some advice to stay clear of politics and not comment of the current state of the world. But when one's photography has always been about the soul of humanity keeping quiet is never an option.

I have not seen a single mainstream media outlet give this the attention it deserves. Israel blew up an entire Lebanese town, an ancient place. It should be headline news. There’s footage of it happening. Imagine this was your town, and you saw every building blown up by a terrorist army to prevent you from ever returning. You would at the very least expect wall to wall coverage. Instead it passes without a word. It’s not the only town Israel has blown up. And sadly it probably won’t be the last.

Masuleh, Iran, 1997 The Man in the Mirror. The interior of a tea-house in the remote mountain village of Masuleh in the Alborz Mountains of Northern Iran. Every tea-house has a place where you can wash your hands. When I sat down at my little table, the reflection of a man seated at a nearby table appeared in the mirror above the hand wash basin. After my simple meal I walked up to the cashier to pay but was told that someone had already paid for me.
