Lilith's random dread thoughts

Is it better to chase something blindly knowing that eventually you'll crash and burn in the flames of failure. Or do you find a way to keep yourself contained before losing the will to continue and snuff yourself out slowly.

How does one quell their desires but still keep hope for a better future? If something is unobtainable it only makes sense to give up on the want to possess it, however if you give up on all your wants what is the point of living on.
