You’d think Shane and Ilya would be used to being apart, but no. After they’ve been married a couple years Ilya has to go back to Boston or something for a friends wedding maybe, and they do NOT handle it well Ilya nearly pukes when he has to sleep in a hotel bed with no Shane

sometimes AUs need to be respected just because they are part of fandom cultural history. "oh this character would NEVER work at a coffee shop!" well too bad this isn't about the character this is a rite of passage for a ship and you will respect your roots

I saw a post of a Collection on Ao3 in which the mod was bookmarking works to label them as ai, purely based on their own assumptions. Thankfully it's been taken down but here's some info on Collections & how to prevent your works from being added to them

PSA for writers who post on Ao3 : if you are not a creator/moderator do not approve invitations to add your works to a Collection! It gives moderator/s some control over your fic, they can hide it from anyone outside the collection and have your fic listed as 'anonymous'
