Usa caution on area roads today, especially less traveled ones. Flurries and blowing snow will continue. Still some harsh winds today; Sunday will be frigid but not as extreme.

Details are becoming clearer with our late-week system. 1) rain will change to snow late Thurs night or Friday AM and the changeover will be accompanied by a very rapid temperature plunge…from the upper 30s to the single digits over a few hours. Wind chills well below zero.

@EricWFMJ For the people who have to work Thursday and Friday during the day.. do you feel travel won’t be as bad until Friday evening?

4) wind chills should stay well below zero Saturday and perhaps through Christmas Day. Travel plans, especially Fri through Saturday AM? Think about alternatives and if the forecast does not change much over the next 24 hours, be prepared to implement a Plan B if possible.

my apartment building caught on fire tonight, we couldn't find riker anywhere. i had firefighters look again at two separate times & still no luck. my unit is fine, minus some smoke damage. but holy fuck this is the worst thing that i have ever experienced. please send good vibes
