Some personal news: I have resigned from Boston University as of this week. Those of you that have been following me for a while will know I have been having some health issues—I have resigned to focus on my recovery.

We continue our celebration of Women’s Sports 🤝 Female Artists with Jordan Chiles and Aleksandra Ekster (also known as Alexandra Exter). Ekster was a fixture in early 20th century Kyiv, crossing paths with artists, poets, choreographers, dancers, and using a variety of influences to craft her own approach towards revolutionizing costume design, which she often depicted in drawings and paintings. Her works are eclectic, vibrant, and emphasis balance and power through rhythm and music, which is why she felt like the perfect pair for Jordan Chiles, who brings a multitude of those same elements in her repertoire as a complete gymnast. The colors and matching movement in ‘Costume for Romeo and Juliet,’ 1921 seemed particularly poignant for this Chiles pose. 📸 by @JZeusR #TeamNike

Last night, three classmates from my child's high school were involved in a devastating car accident. One was driving, and tragically, another lost their life. A third friend heroically tried to save the one who died, but the vehicle caught fire. The impact of this tragedy is profound, affecting not only the lives of these young individuals but also their families and our entire community. I’m sharing this not to spread rumors or speculation, but to express my heartfelt prayers for all those affected by this heartbreaking situation. 😞 1. Please join me in sending love and prayers to the families and friends impacted by this tragedy. 2. Take a moment today to hug your kids a little tighter and cherish each moment with them. 3. Let’s remember that there are far more significant matters at hand than the daily debates we engage in in the media, and on sites like this. Let’s choose kindness and support one another.

One of the spots I wanted to add to my #Pittsburgh snowglobe series was the giant ketchup bottle on the Heinz History Center & the conditions couldn't have been any more perfect this morning. The ground was covered and the snow was really coming down, making for a magical scene.

How about another unique scenes from last night in #Pittsburgh, this time of the William Penn Hotel. I tried to captured this view on Sunday but there were cars in front all night, so I went back last night and it worked out much better. So cool that you can see the whole sign.
