@EdKrassen BREAKING: Speculation is rising that Ed Krassenstein and Brian Krassenstein are both at Walter Reed Medical Center following a double dildo incident. This lying for engagement thing is exactly why monetization was a bad idea.

Question: Would you (in the current world situation) take a new position that would be a step back in $ (not bank breaking but enough) however greatly increases your work/life balance & mental health? You would still be as passionate about the work and it is still in you field.

@ChantaCombs Once I hit 50, my mindset went to enjoying my life and the small things and not so much the career grind. I do love what I do and I am proud of the things I've done. I now want to smell the roses.

@lufitoom the hardest part tbh was figuring out who I am when not driven by career goals. Changing that mindset is still a work in progress.

@lufitoom The older I’ve gotten the more I want my time, peace, and freedom. Not sure what stage of life you’re in but no one on their deathbed ever said I wish I’d worked more.

@ChantaCombs I don't spend a lot as it is so budgeting isn't an issue. My pets are my only BIG expense lol!

@lufitoom If money is the only question mark, then do it. you won’t even miss it when you have your freedom instead. this is a very normal part of the process. enjoy it!

@theskiff13 I would have a lot more autonomy, and 3 months off (with the option of working that 3 which would make this a slight increase if wanted).

@lufitoom If you can actually set boundaries in the new job to achieve why you’re taking a pay cut then yes.

@IMEI21 My current job is extremely stressful and have very little autonomy. Paid well. This position would be a 9 month out of 12 position with the opportunity to work 12 if wanted and that would put me even a little above current pay.

@lufitoom Honestly it really depends on how much I like the current job vs the potential new one and do I want to adapt my life to a lower paycheck

@ChantaCombs It's a 9 month position and I could work 12. The 12 would get me above current but those 3 months... very tempting. Also, ngl, this type of position has been a dream of mine forever.

@lufitoom I did this exact thing and my life is so much better now. I went from managing a place to being an assistant at another. A little pay decrease but about 15-20 hours a week gained back for myself. Was able to spend more time with family and friends, travel, and enjoy life.
