Jokes aside, yes, definitely check their profile before commissioning. Honestly, that goes for commissioning anyone in general. The art style can be a big giveaway too since they always look eerily similar.
With interactions, I did get fooled by one because they actually interacted with me and it seemed organic, even though it felt a bit performative/fake. But I don't see them interact with artists who only do art and are not VTubers. So to my fellow artists who is also a VTuber, be careful!

@luusdraw Pernah nyoba daftar kerja disitu dan keterima, awalnya kepo soal gosip2nya dan ternyata setelah 6 bulan kerja gosip2 tsb mostly bener, udah muak dan akhirnya resign

Before i get a backlash to say avoid Indonesian/SEA artist. It's not all of them but the main 🚩 is the 4th point.
I am Indonesian myself, but i pissed off with all of this greedy 'Broker' things exploitation here.

aku juga kesel. di satu sisi lokasi indo/SEA tuh emg salah satu red flag mereka, tp sedih jg karena di sisi lain ini bikin artist indo/SEA kena generalisasi....

not all artists that are located in indonesia/SEA are like this, but it's more like one of the signs to check the acc further. it's very unlikely for a SMALL ARTIST based in ID having an acc for less than a year to decide to buy the blue check 😂 it's hella expensive for us haha
