Is ChatGPT gonna kill advent of code? Do we need the equivalent of quantum-resistant algos for coding challenges now?

We believe #OTel will play a key role in the future of observability. During our Tech Talks kickoff, we discussed our contributions to a project that enables our customers to leverage its benefits. Thanks to everyone who attended. More Tech Talks events to follow! #DatadogLife

Why aren't people talking more about just how bad Slack's mobile app is at syncing data in a timely fashion? I often restart the app just to make sure I have all the context before responding to something on my phone.

Prediction: observability gets even more important as the amount of code written by AI goes up and the number of people who understand the implementation details goes down.

Hey Europe Gophers! There's an awesome open-source senior #golang engineer position that just opened up on the @datadoghq APM team with a focus on application security. It's a great team that I work very closely with, so please help spread the word! careers.datadoghq.com/detail/1826201…

Is it possible to run a large company where you don’t have to do layoffs—except in the most catastrophic circumstances (a pandemic, war, etc.)? What do you have to do to not end up doing them? Serious questions

@shanselman @KeychronMK Does it have the hump as well or just the split keyboard? Been using the Microsoft ergo for closing in on two decades so I need the hump.

I've never been a keyboard stan. I have a simple Microsoft Ergo. Mechanical keyboards are confusing and expensive ($300?!) but I took a chance when I saw this @KeychronMK for $104. It's a rare split ergo. I got Brown switches. Nice. keychron.com/products/keych… this is not sponsored.

@polotek My experience is that people tend to have too much faith in the power of good ideas.

We don't actually. We scream this constantly. It's just that the majority of individuals are determined to ignore it until they learn from first hand experience. I don't know why this particular message is so difficult for people to hear. Why are people so averse to it?
