Fantastic to see another @onctrainees project published! The TOURISM study (Treatment Outcomes in UteRIne SarcoMa) was a UK-wide study with the goal of reporting patient characteristics, treatment strategies and outcomes in this rare tumour type. @UoDMedicine @NHSTayside

This study was a monumental effort from the @onctrainees trainees involved - no funding or protected time was received & planning began (led by @HelenDearden3) in 2017 with recruitment over 2 years! Finally, we must also thank the patients and families who took part. 9/9

In summary, in a UK pop of older adults receiving 1st line CTx: ➡️ Frailty is prevalent ➡️ ~1/4 develop at least one severe toxicity ➡️ ~1/4 have a hospital admission ➡️ CARG Score was not validated Importantly patient/clinician perceptions of risk differ significantly!

339 eligible patients were recruited from 19 UK sites: ➡️ Median age 73 years (range 65–92) ➡️ 59.1% ECOG PS 1 ➡️ Median Rockwood CFS was 3 (range 0–8) ➡️ Median G8 was 12 (range 6–16) Only 21 (6.2%) patients had a formal baseline frailty assessment as standard of care 4/9

In a UK population, aged >65 recieving 1st line CTx, TOASTIE aimed to: ➡️ Validate the @myCARG Score ➡️ Describe the prevalence of frailty ➡️ Demonstrate feasibility of frailty assessment ➡️ Describe patient and clinician perception of toxicity risk associated with CTx 3/9
