Israel is ethnically cleansing southern Lebanon - a displacement of people bigger than the 1948 Nakba. It ought to be front and centre of western news reporting.
Simona Foltyn@SimonaFoltyn

Only one bridge is left to connect to the coastal city of #Tyre after #Israel bombed seven bridges crossing the Litani, practically isolating #Lebanon’s south. If that bridge gets struck too, it would create “a humanitarian disaster,” an official in Tyre told me. 15% of the city’s 60k residents remain despite Israel’s forced evac orders. Report coming soon @PBS @NewsHour.

Ben Gvir is posting videos showing off the execution chamber where he will exterminate thousands of Palestinian hostages. Imagine if Hitler broadcast videos of his gas chambers to gloat like this.

MEHMET VEFA DAG -Cape Town Mayor Candidate
WORTH EXPOSING: Her name is Limor Son-Har Melech, the Israeli MP who drafted the death penalty law targeting Palestinians. Let’s grant her, her wish and make her more “famous!” Darkness deserves light exposure! According to the MP, Israeli Jews do not commit acts of terrorism. Limor Son-Har Melec, who wrote the death penalty law exclusively for Palestinians, defended Israeli terrorist Amiram Ben-Uliel, calling him a "holy man," for burning alive a Palestinian baby and his parents while they slept in their home in the occupied West Bank, while his accomplices chanted "Ali is on the grill." Europeans fail to realize the extent of the hatred and genocidal mania present in some sectors of Israeli society. Under the new death penalty law, Palestinian leader Marwan Barghuthi could be hanged, but not settlers who kill a Palestinian girl. By John Edward

Not even apartheid South Africa codified executions for only one ‘race group’. Israel is now the most racist state the world has ever known. Shame on every government, every company, every individual who offer it support.
Dyab Abou Jahjah@Aboujahjah

Israel has now become the first state to codify a death sentence that applies in practice to one ethnic group, while another is effectively shielded from it.

A new public fountain has appeared in central London, but look closer & you’ll see that it’s a actually a fountain of filth. The water is black, the human victims of the sewage crisis are vomitting streams of liquid, whilst surmounted by a smug water executive with a briefcase stuffed with cash. The fountain commemorates one of the biggest environmental crimes in British history, where water companies stole tens of billions of pounds that was supposed to be spent on our sewage system, gave it to shareholders and executives and illegally poured billions of lites of sewage into our rivers, lakes and seas instead. The channel 4 docudrama about the sewage crisis, #dirtybusiness, starts at 9pm tonight. Watch it, get sad, get angry and then join the thousands of people around the country demanding an end to the sewage crisis.

Ridiculous of the British Museum to remove the word 'Palestine" from its displays, when it has a greater antiquity than the word "British". The first reference to Palestine is on the Egyptian monument of Medinet Habu in 1186BCE. The first reference to Britain is the 4th century BC when it appears in the work of the Greek traveler Pytheas of Massalia.

The Boycott, Divestments, and Sanctions movement (BDS) called for a boycott of the global fashion brand Zara accusing it of complicity with the Israeli occupation and apartheid system and of economically benefiting from crimes committed against the Palestinian people including the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip. The movement noted that Zara, which is owned by the Spanish group Inditex, continues its business operations in Israel through its local franchise Trimera Brands which maintains direct political ties with far right figures, most notably Itamar Ben-Gvir. In early 2025 and amid the continued Israeli assault on Gaza Zara opened the largest store in its global network near Tel Aviv spanning 4500 square meters further strengthening its economic ties with Israel.

Hind Rajab's mom, Wesam, made this brilliant speech on Saturday: Ladies & gentlemen, I'll begin with no introductions. On January 29, 2024, my daughter Hind Rajab was trapped inside a car, under direct fire. Hind was a five-year-old child. At that age, children don't think about politics, & don't know the meaning of war. All they know is fear… & the hope that someone will come to save them. Hind didn't die suddenly. Hind waited. She waited for help, For her cries to have meaning. She said: "I'm scared…come get me." This isn't a literary phrase. This is the last thing a child said, who knew she might not survive. She said a sentence that tore my heart apart: "Mom, they're lying. Stay with me!" At that moment, I realized the betrayal. An ambulance was sent to her. It didn't arrive. It was bombed. This means one thing: Saving a life wasn't allowed. Today, 2 years later, I'm not standing here to tell you a sad story. I am here to speak about responsibility. I will pose a weighty question: What is the value of a human life when it is Palestinian? Because what happened to my daughter Hind, Had it happened anywhere else, would have shaken the world. But it was in Gaza. And that is why time was allowed to pass, & the crime to be forgotten. I ask you to imagine, even for a few seconds, The magnitude of pain that mothers in Gaza carry when they lose their children. Imagine the bitterness of the pain, When you cannot save your child, Or even reach them, Or know what their final moments were like. This pain lives with mothers every day, & with every breath. What happened to Hind is not just a personal story. It reveals how a child can be left to die, before the eyes of the world, without accountability. You live in countries that believe in the rule of law, that teach human rights, & sign agreements to protect children. But Hind was not protected. Nor were the paramedics. Nor was the truth protected. I don't blame the people of the world, but I do hold silence responsible. The silence that makes the crime possible, & makes its repetition easy. Your presence here today means that you have chosen not to be silent. And that is important. But what is more important, is what happens after this event. Will Hind remain just a name at an event? Or will she become a turning point? I am not asking for the impossible. I am asking for something very simple: That the life of a Palestinian child be protected… as if it were your own child's life. If the law cannot save a child, then it is a law that needs to be held accountable. And if the world only acts when the victim resembles its own children, then the world needs a new conscience. Hind is no longer here. But her story is a trust. And a trust is not preserved with words, But with actions!
