Am I crazy or is the New York Times podcast lady actually trying to argue that insulting Jewish people is worse than the mass murder of children?

@SecScottBessent If you have full control of the strait, why isn’t it open?

It is very difficult for rats in a sewer pipe to know what’s going on in the outside world. Some color for the Iranian Leadership as they literally sit in the dark: 1. The United States has complete control of the Strait of Hormuz. 2. There is a hard currency, i.e. U.S. dollar, shortage. 3. Food and gasoline rationing are in place. 4. The entire international community has turned against you. 5. The BLOCKADE will continue, until there is pre-February 27 Freedom of Navigation.

@ccbaker2023 I did two years in fidi, great value, safe, can get uptown pretty quick, and walk to Chinatown. The downside is that it’s just missing something. Doesn’t feel like the rest of downtown manhattan. Feels disconnected from the city.

@Giopolitiks @ccbaker2023 I used to live in that gray and yellow building. It was nice, they served free coffee in the lobby in the mornings.

Ken Griffin is self-made. He built his businesses largely outside NYC but is now growing it in NYC. With Ken comes construction of an office tower, high paying jobs, tax revenue and a remarkable commitment to local philanthropy. Not sure why that pisses off the new mayor.

@vader7x I was eating at some vegan restaurant in the Lower East Side while a Bloomberg employee. There was a guy a couple tables over who looked like an aging techno DJ. The waitress told me he’s a regular and used to be Bloomberg’s CEO. Turns out she was right and it was Lex Fenwick.

🚨Israel assassinated Imad Miqdad yesterday in a drone strike, targeting his solar-powered phone charging station in Gaza yesterday. Miqdad had been providing civilians with a rare means of communication amid ongoing electricity cuts. The strike killed him and destroyed the facility, further limiting access to basic services and connectivity for residents.

🚨BREAKING : In a new massacre, Israeli drones directly targeted a phone-charging point run by civilian Imad Miqdad moments ago in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City, killing him along with other civilians. With no electricity infrastructure left in displacement camps, solar-powered and improvised energy points have become essential for survival, yet they are being deliberately targeted, cutting civilians off from even the most basic means of living.

Sword of Sodan (1988) might look awfully cheesy today, but boy, was this game incredible in the 80s! Massive - and I really mean MASSIVE - sprites, probably bigger than in any other game at the time. They looked absolutely awesome. It plays like a trashy Conan B-movie, but who cares when the dude (or dudette) you're controlling takes up half the screen and you hack 'n' slash your way through even bigger enemies? Created by three guys from Denmark, it was published by Discovery Software (Amiga and Apple IIGS), Electronic Arts (Genesis), and Bethesda Softworks (Mac). It was also indexed in Germany for being too graphic. Hilarious.
