@paulnorwich I know that feeling when I lost my partner 2years ago everyone wanted to smother me… I know they meant well.. but I knew what I had to do and what I wanted to do… sometimes I felt more guilt by not doing what they wanted… than I did for Si .. best wishes Mr x

And I hasten to add, I absolutely am putting myself first and doing exactly what I want. I just wish folk would actually listen to me when I say I’m ok, I really am. No one knows me better than I know myself.

One thing I’ve learnt about bereavement since losing mum, despite being in the profession for over 20 years, is that people can sometimes, inadvertently, make you feel guilty for not accepting their help. It’s so appreciated but sometimes I just need to do what I want.

It’s been quite a couple of months tbqh. Lewis and I separated (very amicably of course) about 5-6 weeks ago and then mother died just over a week ago. On top of that my bathroom is mid refurb so I’m washing my arse in the sink. But dya know what? I’m feeling alright.
