The epicentre of the China shock in EU is Germany. Its nominal (!) exports to China have been shrinking for 3 years straight, while nominal imports are growing by double digits since mid-2024 (even higher in volume terms). As Germany & France shift, EU trade policy will follow.

This morning, Russian forces struck Kherson with four guided aerial bombs, then began shelling the city center with tanks and artillery, according to the Regional Military Administration. Shortly after, the Russians attacked those same targets with FPV suicide drones. Three civilians were injured. The iconic Kherson admin building where Ukrainians bravely defied invading Russian troops in 2022, was hit and its cost of arms blasted off. Additionally, three educational institutions, a medical facility, administrative buildings, and at least five apartment buildings were damaged or destroyed. 📸 Before: my photo of the Kherson regional administration building in November 2024. Kherson. This morning, within 15 minutes, 4 Russian KABs hit the city center. The Kherson RSA building was damaged, an entire entrance of a residential a block of flats destroyed, and several other houses affected. As of now, 3 men were injured. All victims are receiving aid.
