but hey if they dug a little deeper and created a more robust survey (+methods) this could be a legitimately awesome piece of reporting

obviously this survey is "a thoroughly unscientific survey of a self-selecting population" (of nerds like me who regularly read Quanta)

it appears that most women (in this survey) tended to get their math <3 early on (grades 1-5) and less so as they progressed in school

breaking it down by gender + grade shows that male respondents seem to be able to get into it at almost any age (except a dip at grades 6-8)

Prompts a lot of Qs wrt to who loves math + when. The data viz is limited, but one v obvious takeaway is the gender imbalance in respondents twitter.com/7homaslin/stat…
