@NeratSunday @AdenipekunAyod1 Emotions beclouded your judgement. Do you know that there's some point on the road that if anyone is knocked down and killed his people will pay fine before they collect their corpse? Do you know that? I didn't denigrate the dead but just observe some possibility. Just quessing.

Peace died the cruelest of death. She wasn’t sick. Full of life. She went for Thursday church service and was crossing a road she had crossed countless times just in front of her church. She was knocked down by a convoy of vehicles driving recklessly on top speed. The cars on the convoy took turns to run over her. Each smashing the promising life out of her and when they were done, her structures were left in ruins. Her killers sped off without an iota of conscience. She wasn’t even given the slightest of chance to contemplate survival. How much cruel can life be… Rest well peace. But may people that have hand in ur death never find rest

@KekeSkima09 @AdenipekunAyod1 Describe it anyhow you like. I didn't write for you to like me. Why did you not apprehend the reckless driver and prosecute him. Your foolishness doesn't allow you to know that there some points in major road of which if you are knocked down your pole will pay fine. Just mumu.

@XceptionalDAViD @AdenipekunAyod1 I have my brother but the truth is that the life could be lost foolishly. That's my concern because I see a lot of them who act as if their life have duplicate especially when they hold big phones. Haven't u c them use phones while walking on road? Some even blocked their ears.

Channelling Our Women to Critical Areas of Development While the rest of the nations of the world are investing in critical areas of development such as human capital, we lag behind. Instead of ensuring that our women—the vital segment of our population—are educated and meaningfully integrated into leadership and management structures, where they have consistently proven to contribute significantly to development, we fall short. This is evident in countries like the Scandinavian nations and even in developing economies. In Indonesia, for instance, women own over 50% of SMEs, which provide about 98% of jobs. Similarly, in Bangladesh, women make up about 60% of the workforce in the garment industry, the country’s largest export sector, generating about $50 billion—far more than what Nigeria earns annually from crude oil exports. Rather than emulating these nations by investing in our women—who constitute more than 50% of our population—and harnessing their productivity, our focus drifts toward trivialities such as the Ozoro festival, a development that reflects poorly on our national priorities. This is a profound misplacement of values. Greater effort should be directed toward meaningful development, including policies and initiatives that empower women and integrate them into the economic mainstream. If we redirect our priorities, invest in our people, and harness the potential of our women in critical sectors, we can rebuild our nation on a foundation of productivity and inclusion—transforming from a now disgraced country into one of pride. With the right priorities and actions, a new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@Ajukwugifted @PeterObi @grok I'm not an oil expert but I know that no country in the world has four non functional refineries and thrusted it's consumption in the hands of one private business man who had to source for the commodity from abroad. Getting crude locally is war and payment made in dollars.

When Countries Fail to Plan Many people wonder why any adverse development in the global economy quickly impacts Nigeria. A recent example is the tension involving Iran, which led to an increase in global oil prices and, subsequently, a rise in petroleum prices in Nigeria. A few weeks ago, petrol was selling for less than ₦1,000 per litre, but today it costs over ₦1,200 per litre. Diesel, which was also priced below ₦1,000 per litre, is now over ₦1,500 per litre. These rapid increases illustrate how quickly external shocks can affect the Nigerian economy. The reason for this is straightforward: most countries, whether they are oil-producing or non-oil-producing, maintain strategic petroleum reserves to cushion against supply or price shocks. This means that when there is a disruption in the global oil market, they can release part of these reserves to stabilize supply. However, Nigeria lacks such a buffer, so the impact is felt almost immediately. The underlying issue is a lack of planning. Countries that engage in planning create buffers against shocks, while those that do not remain vulnerable to them. The old maxim remains true: when a country fails to plan, it has already planned to fail. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Nigeria is facing a troubling contradiction. What type of country are we trying to bequeath for our children? The same lawmakers who have proposed a fine of ₦10 million and up to two years in prison for dual political party membership have simultaneously removed certificate forgery, age falsification, and false declarations as grounds for challenging an election in a tribunal. This is in direct contradiction to the provisions of the Constitution of Nigeria (1999, as amended). This situation raises a fundamental question about the priorities of our political system. In any serious democracy, the gravest offense in public life is deceiving the people to gain power. Submitting false documents, falsifying one’s age, forging certificates, and making dishonest declarations to electoral authorities are among the most serious offenses in any democracy. Such actions not only lead to automatic disqualification but also warrant criminal prosecution. Yet today, our electoral system seems more focused on protecting political structures than on upholding the truth. There is no justification for prioritizing punishment for party alignment over punishing false certificates, forgery, and other forms of deception in the pursuit of public office. Laws should strengthen democracy, not weaken it. They should promote ethical leadership rather than lower standards for those who aspire to govern. A nation cannot rise above the integrity of its leaders. If we truly want a better Nigeria, our laws must defend truth, character, competence, and accountability. We cannot continue to tolerate criminal behavior. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. The suspected militia member identified as Mr Suurnen David Akum, aged 27, from Agasha Village in Guma Local Government Area, was successfully apprehended by the troops. A locally fabricated rifle was also recovered from the suspect during the arrest. The suspect is under investigation before being handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action. The Force Commander of Joint Task Force Operation WHIRL STROKE, Major General Moses Gara, commended the troops for their professionalism and tactical approach which led to the successful apprehension of the suspect. He encouraged them to maintain the operational momentum and remain vigilant in the ongoing efforts to deny criminal elements the freedom to operate within the area. Criminal politician Nyesom @GovWike never built duplexes for FCT resident doctors because he doesn’t need Nigerian doctors; his doctors are in the UK. He never built houses for teachers because his children don’t attend Nigerian schools. But he is building duplexes for judges because he needs them to subvert the course of justice.

For decades, Noam Chomsky was held up as a reference point on the left. Someone many leftists learned to think with. To then discover the closeness of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, maintained even after Epstein’s conviction and registration as a sexual offender, is deeply unsettling. It forces a reckoning. When someone who speaks so relentlessly about ethics, power, and justice chooses to remain socially comfortable with a man publicly exposed for such crimes, the contradiction is impossible to ignore. It seems ideology only weighs on those with little money and no power.
Alan MacLeod@AlanRMacLeod

Alert🚨: New Epstein email I found shows renowned academic Noam Chomsky telling Epstein that he is “fantasizing about” Little St. James Island. (I'm digging through the Epstein Files for Chomsky's connections to the disgraced pedophile. Check my timeline/follow for more drops.)
