Clubs with girls only teams definitely keen to have the rule in place which is understandable. Hopefully more clubs will look to develop girls only teams in time. @LlanelliCricket @KidwellyTownCC @DafenCCJnr @CHcricketwales I genuinely believe a lot of girls will give up playing because of this. Some enjoyed and had fun playing a year down - the whole reason they were there. The ones that aren’t going to go on to pathways and the like. Real shame.

@ECB_cricket @CricketWales @SWJCL Would anyone like to comment why OUT OF THE ENTIRE ECB-governed areas, only the SWJCL are, from this season onwards, preventing girls from playing ‘a year down’? Why? Makes no sense at all.

It was voted by the league clubs during the AGM which was fair enough. However, how many of those clubs have girls playing is unclear. We’ve got a lot and it’s a disaster for us.
