Perfect illustration of policymakers ruining military planning and acquisition. And this is Taiwan with lots of money. This is also apparent in the PH even though we're not as rich, we can technically afford what the DND and AFP wants.

I take it back. The opposition parties KMT and TPP are still actively blocking US arms sales. This happened today at parliament. The military representatives are totally frustrated because they are unable to pay for newly negotiated Himars. March 30 is due date.

@Talon_Haribon The MRF has outlasted 30 PMA classes, timawa.net, 5 presidents, several CSAFP and CGPAF, and the AFP modernization act. If there’s no MRF By 2028 the H3 schedule of the revised AFP modernization act — the FA50s would have a longer operational service than the F-8s.

Frankly... we don't care if the Philippine Airforce chose the KF-21 or not. The Philippines has been agonizing over selecting MRF candidates not only for F-16 but also for Gripen, Tejas, Rafale, Typhoon, and KF-21 for a long time now, so I hope the Philippine government make a stand. Otherwise, in the case of such a business, there is a high possibility that needs more budget than first thought. Reportedly, Dassault Rafale and KAI KF-21 were formally submitted their proposal as requested, and It aims to acquire about 40 fighter jets, but it has not yet been decided how (plan) or how to fund program. The KF-21 has passed all extreme conditions of flight tests, including air to air missile tests. It is a highly advanced and digitized fighter equipped with powerful computing systems and sensors array technology.

@goodkidbikecity It’s not even a four way intersection. Waste of public funds white elephant project of the DPWH and the local prominent family. It’s just a T-junction and the bypass road is just 1km away. A proper stoplight could have saved a lot of money and all the roadside establishments.
