#WVU baseball brought in 3 D2 pitchers this offseason — Dawson Montesa, Chansen Cole and Ian Korn. Those 3 have combined to throw 137 innings so far (over 40% of the team's total) with a 12-6 record and 4.14 ERA. A smashing success for Steve Sabins.

@mbash69 WVU has to manufacture runs since they do not hit for power. Therefore they rely on stringing together hits, walks and stolen bases. When it works, it's beautiful. When it doesn't, it's ugly.

Everybody talking about how bad the pitching was. And it was. But lost in the ugly backwash of the game was the fact the Mountaineers managed a measly two hits. Maybe quit fiddling with the batting order & defensive positioning every single game? Maybe has no bearing but geez.

@cup_spit They should. Still a lot to play for but no regional will be coming thru Morgantown this year. Just gotta get this pitching and hitting going. More concerned about our bats lately than weekend pitching.
