@Gamer_2990 So I guess the short answer is - the Upscaling is the only AI done here, which isn't what people think of when they say 'AI' - and most of the mod is custom.

@Gamer_2990 The ground textures are almost all custom composites done from free textures and my own texture libraries, done before Generative AI existed. The towns, etc. are redrawn from hand from a base Upscale, while also adding other Upscales (Fields, Battlefields) back into them.

We've got a few favorites to consider! 1. FH 2. Balamb/Balamb Town 3. Ultimecia's Castle I've already remade the FH BGs with a new 3D dish inserted into the BGs, but now that tech has improved I should be able to make them even better! Any other areas you'd like to see remade?

@Acion_Next I love these imgsli comparisons! You really get to see just how different/similar they are. I am a fan, so I do my best to keep the art as similar as possible while 'updating' the graphics to more modern standards.

@CallMeWhatNot Honestly, the Remastered models look great with these new backgrounds. Especially with the bit of care I've done to add detail to them (the models). Original models are a bit harder of a sell. Hopefully we can replace 3d models in the near future.

@mcindus_mods Looks great, problem is how do you seamlessly blend 3d models into a background like this. That's where crt scanlines and low resolution shines.

Griever looking better than ever thanks to LunarCry v4 Enemies, Bosses, GFs, and GF animations mod for FF8 Remastered!

Maki has done it! The GOAT has modified DEMASTER to not only fix the LunarCry v3 GFs, but enabled DDS for no lag! Hashing issues for animated textures have also been fixed! This means LunarCry v4 will be coming out this weekend and will include overhauled GF animations!
