Hyderabad Old City Metro update • 7.5 km corridor, Target: completion in 2 years • Properties affected cut from 1,100 to 886 (smart redesign) • 550+ demolitions done, ₹433 cr compensation paid • DGPS & drone surveys integrated for precision • GPR survey to map underground utilities • Soil & load tests underway • Pillar & station groundwork in progress

It is a 15 floor complex with 10 floors for parking & 5 floors for commercial use, including two state of the art movie screens. It's based on Germany based Palis system, the 5th such system globally & a first in India.

There is no human intervention & this Rs 102 cr system was developed by HMRL in PPP mode in partnership with Novum, a company owned by tech entrepreneur Dr Harikishen Reddy & his wife Mrs Bhavana Reddy. This highly sophisticated parking project is likely to usher in parking revolution in Hyderabad & India.

Inspected Nampally Multi level parking facility today (10.08.2025). It's a fully automated & most advanced puzzle parking system - first of its kind in the country. User can leave the car on the turntable & the system will automatically park it as per size of the car on any of the 10 parking floors.

The Telangana Government has submitted the Metro Rail Phase 2(B) proposal to the Government of India today (21.06.2025). Backed by State Cabinet approval, Phase 2(B) will add 86.1 km of metro network across 3 transformative corridors: · RGIA to Bharat Future City – 39.6 km (₹7,168 Cr) · JBS to Medchal – 24.5 km (₹6,946 Cr) · JBS to Shamirpet – 22 km (₹5,465 Cr) Total Investment: ₹19,579 Cr (Joint Venture Model) • TG Govt: ₹5,874 Cr (30%) • Govt of India: ₹3,524 Cr (18%) • International Debt: ₹9,398 Cr (48%) • PPP: ₹783 Cr (4%) Following the momentum of Phase 2(A), this ambitious expansion strengthens Telangana’s vision of a smarter, faster, and greener commute for tomorrow. #HyderabadMetro #UrbanMobility #Phase2B #TelanganaProgress #MetroExpansion #SmartCityIndia #PublicTransportRevolution

*Metro Rail Phase 2 (B) proposal submitted to GoI* Metro Rail Phase 2 (B) proposal along with all the required documents and DPRs have been submitted to Government of India today( Saturday). Duly approved by the State cabinet, this phase 2 (B) project consists of 3 Corridors -- RGIA to Bharat Future City (39.6 km; Rs 7,168 cr); JBS to Medchal (24.5 km; Rs 6,946 cr); & JBS to Shamirpet (22km; Rs 5,465 cr). Thus covering a total length of 86.1km, this Phase 2 (B) project will involve a total investment of Rs 19,579 cr. Like the earlier submitted Please 2 (A) project of five Corridors (76.4 km), this Phase 2 (B) project is also proposed to be developed as a joint venture project of GoI and GoTG. As per the JV project norms of the central government, the Phase 2 (B) cost of Rs 19,579 cr will have GoTG's share of Rs 5,874 cr (30%), GoI's share of Rs 3,524 cr (18%); debt from international financial institutions of Rs 9,398 cr (48%) and a small PPP component of Rs 783 cr (4%).

The Hon'ble HC has not issued any stay order on metro rail works in the old city. On behalf of HAML, Addl AG gave an assurance to Hon'ble HC earlier itself that no heritage structure would be touched or demolished. The contents being circulated in/ selective leakages of the filed affidavits/counter affidavits to social media groups appear to be a part of misinformation campaign.
