@peekaboo_jen It’s such a moving experience to go there. Happy to join in. And I know it will be a birthday gift he’ll remember.

Each year we celebrate Sam Heughan's birthday by raising funds for causes close to his heart. Given that the story of Outlander and Sam's portrayal of Jamie Fraser has had such a profound impact on so many of our lives, and of Scotland itself, the National Trust for Scotland, the Culloden Fighting Fund, has been selected as this year's birthday fundraiser recipient. "The battlefield is a powerfully emotive place, and it’s rare for a landscape of this age to be so relatively intact. The National Trust for Scotland has been acquiring and caring for parts of the battlefield since 1937. But the field of battle and the views that surround it are increasingly under threat from development, and we must work harder each day to protect its sense of place. The site cared for by the National Trust for Scotland covers only a third of the actual battleground. It sits within a cultural landscape which is owned by many different people and private organisations. It’s the field of battle itself and the views that surround the site that give it a sense of place. Over the past 10 years, Inverness has become one of the fastest growing cities in Europe, putting agricultural land in the Culloden area under increasing pressure from development. The integrity of the whole site is currently under threat from piecemeal decision-making, unclear guidance and a lack of focused resource. Without integrated planning, stronger support and a holistic response to the problem, it’s likely that the cultural landscape surrounding the battlefield will be lost. The NTS have opposed multiple planning applications, including a proposal right beside the battlefield to convert Treetops Equestrian Centre into a leisure resort with 13 lodges, restaurant and shop. We welcomed the Highland Council’s decision to deny planning permission, resulting in the protection of the wider historic battlefield. Action is needed now because the number of planning applications is likely to increase. A donation to Culloden’s Fighting Fund will help us work towards a collaborative approach to managing the battlefield and protecting the site for future generations." Information via the National Trust for Scotland. The fundraiser will run until May 2nd, 2026. Please note that donations will be made in your national currency and then converted to pounds for the overall tally. If you have any questions regarding the fundraiser or the process of donating please send me a DM and I will do my best to assist you. As always, please share the fundraiser's information across your networks. justgiving.com/page/jesuispre… Whether you donate, share the information, or donate and share the information, this fundraiser and it's success will be thanks to each and every one of you. Dinna fash, there's all of us now. #samheughan #outlander #jamiefraser #NationalTrustforScotland

Nope, not ornaments. My friend is going through the house where her grandma and aunt lived their whole lives and finding weird stuff. Apparently these are solid and very heavy; too heavy to hang on a tree. What are they

I do get the point (he wouldn't have known) but because we all know what Frank sounds like, to me, it fit. We hear it coming from Frank, even if Jamie wouldn't have known what it sounded like. But then, he dreamed what a telephone looked like and heard Fiona's laugh in the future. So maybe he dreamed of Frank. And at least his ghost had heard Frank's voice standing beside the memorial underneath Claire's window in the rain in 1945.

Sam Heughan didn’t like them using Frank’s voice because Jamie would not have known what Frank sounded like. Jamie’s thoughts would have been in his own voice. Sam was right. Matt and Maril, who gave us the disaster of Claire hallucinating and sucking on ether in S6, should have listened to Sam. He knows Jamie better than they do and also knows what works and what doesn’t.

@Pam1904_ @SamHeughan Nor will I. I’m praying that it’s just Frank’s gotcha idea of messing with him/them from afar. Sam, Cait, and Diana have all promised it will be a satisfying, fitting, happy ending. And the demise of JAMMF would not be that.

Start spreading the news, folks. Sam is heading back to New York City as Grand Marshal of the 2026 Tartan Day Parade this April. What an incredibly special honour for Sam to once again lead this celebration of all things Scottish. Will you be heading on down to catch a glimpse?

@peekaboo_jen “The ambassador announcement comes as My Peak Challenge, the global health, wellness, and philanthropy community founded by Heughan, joins Glasgow 2026 as the Official Wellness Challenge Provider.” I’m not a Peaker myself but I gotta say, this is mega-cool!

For 23 years, doctors were legally required to terrify women about the one treatment that could have changed their lives. Yesterday, the FDA finally admitted they got it catastrophically wrong. The black box warning on hormone replacement therapy? Gone.

I am against violence. I am against celebrating violence. I’m praying for peace. I’m praying for healing. I’m praying for the family, especially the children. I know what they’re going through. I’ve been through it. I’m deeply scared for this country. The way some people are reacting on both sides is dangerous. If I had one wish right now it would be for everyone to please just step back and take a breath and remember we are all just sophisticated apes trying to coexist on a rock hurtling through space. If we cannot tolerate polite and reasoned disagreement then there is no hope for our society. There is a famous quote falsely attributed to Voltaire that however does sum up a principle of enlightenment philosophy, ‘I disagree with what you say, but I would die to defend your right to say it.’ The ideas of people like John Locke and Voltaire and Thomas Paine are what lead to the American Revolution which then inspired the French Revolution. They introduced the World to the idea that individual rights were important and should be protected from Monarchs (tyrants and dictators), and ultimately led to the idea that a country should be governed by its people NOT by the Church and NOT by a King. If citizens don’t protect and respect each other’s right to disagree, then we cannot have a democracy. If we do not protect our right to disagree then we’ll get violence. We do NOT want a society where violence is the way we win arguments, because then nobody wins. Everyone loses. We are ALL losing right now. The whole society is losing together. Losing to violence. It’s unbelievably sad. It took so much work to get us here. We can’t throw it all away like spoilt children. I did NOT agree with Charlie Kirk’s views on MANY important topics. I know he helped get Trump elected and people hate him for that. But he was a conservative Christian. What do you expect a conservative Christian to believe? How can those views surprise you? He argued those views calmly, reasonably, and considerately as far as I’ve seen. But no matter what he did not deserve this. His wife did not deserve this. His kids did NOT deserve to have their world torn apart! The way some people are being so cold and uncaring and even celebrating is disturbing and repugnant to me. It is making me physically ill. If you are celebrating the murder of a non-violent man for his opinions then you are NOT the better person. Look in the mirror. Imagine telling his kids how you feel. Step back. Take a breath. Remember we are all humans. We are all just flickers of consciousness in an endless eternity. Love IS the answer. I really mean it. We are quite literally ALL in this together. If this ship sinks we ALL drown. Look around you. Everyone you see is a shipmate. We have to figure this out. We have no other choice.
