Sent the proofs of my book back to the publisher. Publication should now be in a couple months!

Do all publishers send their proofs in August now, coupled with very short deadlines? I am supposed to be on holiday...

@BernhardSchaer Transimperial history also seemed a way forward (if I may say so). And there was overall a somewhat curious lack of papers on how Germany itself was globalised in this age...

@BernhardSchaer I think many discussions revolved around whether speaking of Germany or Germans in the world makes sense anymore, given not only the diversity of those entities but also that 'Germans' abroad did have many (changing) identities...

Specialist German history question: anyone who has written more on (overseas) colonial antecedents of Germans in Ober Ost (WWI) & in Baltic Freikorps? Literature indulges in hints but never seems to go beyond the 1 reference to Rochus Schmidt in Ober Ost & his East Africa history
