🏆Our 2024 MES Photography Prize went to to Shonara Awad @okstate +Hanan Awad, whose series captures the militarization of everyday life in the Israeli-occupied al-Khalil/Hebron for Palestinians, especially poignantly in the case of children trying to get to school #FreePalestine

🏆 We also awarded an honorable mention for the 2024 MES Student Paper prize to Leen Alfatafta @GWtweets for "Motherly Affects," which examines how mothering/hood emerges as a 'relationally dispossessive' in @Imanmersal's *How to Mend: Motherhood and Its Ghosts* 🎉🎊
