My absolute favourite way to watch the NYC Marathon is through the isolated pro feeds on the race app. No commentary, just listening to the fans lining the course cheering their hearts out. I’m thousands of miles away and still have goosebumps watching.

And yes, I know, these are the hard hitting race observations everyone is looking for.

@TheRealMerb Maybe not a huge surprise, but German coverage was a lot more balanced - a lot of emphasis on him saying before the race a medal is more important than any record and of course lots of talk of it being the first Olympic swimming gold for Germany since 1988…

Lukas Märtens just won his first global gold and the entire build up, race, and recap was about a 15 year old record. What is happening? HE WON!!!

Sometimes I think track has a problem with obsessing over times and records and then I watch swimming…

It’s barely lunchtime and I’ve already watched handball, volleyball, hockey, diving, gymnastics and now basketball. I friggin’ love the Olympics!
