Since everyone has decided to care about women in this space for 24 hours, I am going to share my experience with @gifdead at his @W3BTHR33 event in Denver, which was by far the most disrespectful & appalling thing that I experienced at the conference.

@grossehalbuer @timriopelle You’re absolutely correct, with a healthy community and environment we thrive!

Trying to onboard artists to this space when they realize that everyone is trying to scam them, they need to be on twitter 12 hours a day, they need to learn a new tech, become their own manager, become their own social media organizer, don’t tweet too often, don’t tweet too little, build a community, not that community. Follow this collector but ignore their sexism, or homophobia, or whatever. They have money. Do all this, and be told that you aren’t doing enough.

@timriopelle As an artist let me tell you that the best thing you can do is tell an artist that their work is not enough and that you expect more from them. They will absolutely love you for it and will immediately 10x their floors so you can sell their art at 0% royalties
