This lie has been repeated by @JohnTory and his allies/supporters many times. The mayor is only committed to working with people who'll give him what he wants, which is to starve the city of funds so public services deteriorate and he keeps his low tax promise to house owners.

Please sign this petition opposing the Premier and Mayor's undemocratic "strong mayor" policy. This provincial legislation would allow the Mayor to force through decisions with the support of as few as 8 councillors, potentially overruling the will of millions of citizens.

My @TorontoStar column: the city’s photo radar camera on Parkside makes about $250,000 every month, and will remain in place for a while yet. It’s bad news. These cameras were supposed to lead to real road safety changes. That’s not happening fast enough thestar.com/opinion/contri…
