@YoyoThedud80327 This is the best out of all the fuzz with the remakes. They should not alter the formula any further, just the ingredients. XVII should use the same base pipeline moving forward. And so it should XVIII, and XIX.

I love the direction Square can potentially take the FF series right now. Mainline games that use 7Rs systems and engine as the template. Spin off HD-2D games that are turn based. Final Fantasy could be so fucking back if they do what they should do. Constantly having games in market is how this franchise reached the heights it did from the NES through the PS2. This could be a return to that.

@GT_Dragoneez Tried it with an open mind for 13 hours. Gave up on it. I don't think the fact you have to physically traverse is a bad idea. I think the fact you do the same, in the same places for over 20+ hours is the problem. No NPCs, no quests, no discoveries, no interaction with the world

Watching FFVII fans defend the remake bloating one 30 hour game to three 30+ hour games for full price each is so funny I hope Square never does this again and instead makes 3 brand new numbered titles in the 8 years it's taken them to make these shit ass games lol

@kiki_lily17 Respectfully, I know you're Japanese and RPG might mean something totally different for you, but yes. Even in the West, command-based RPGs are still thriving: Baldur's Gate 3 and Expedition 33 being the prime examples. But we also have Pathfinder, Warhammer games, etc.

FYI 7 was my first FF, then my favourites (8 then 10). I've finished every mainline game in the series besides 6/12 and fake FF games like 15/16.
