I do feel sick for the Lions. Injuries ruined their defense and kneecapped their chances of truly contending. But the midseason narrative that they had become the gold standard (they were Super Bowl favorites!) because they blew out bad teams was always so foolish.

For context, I said this last night and not 20 min before the trade. They conveniently left out me saying that the exception to them being patient would be trading for Nets wings (DFS or Cam Johnson) or Valanciunas. I reported that two weeks ago and have consistently said that.
