@CyberTheCyFan I am looking forward to the @DrakeBulldogsMB and @CycloneMBB playing in KC. Drake plays Wichita State. Don't know who ISU plays. Looking forward to my Cyclone friends to show me around the P&L District. A request to organizers...No glass courts please!

One thing that doesn't get talked about enough is how good the TJ Otzelberger coaching tree is, producing 5 Head Coaches in just 10 years. Eric Henderson- SDSU, Drake Daniyal Robinson - Cleveland State, North Texas JR Blount - San Diego Kyle Green - UNI Kevin Kruger- UNLV 21-25

One of the last people to walk on the Moon, Charles Duke, was on @AmericaNewsroom with @BillHemmer. At 90 years old, Charlie still sounds like a rocket scientist. Chances are good that I won't be that lucid if I make it to 90.

I am NOT entering the transfer portal. I am a Drake Bulldog for my remaining years of eligibility on this earth!

Iowa now has Drake’s old Head Coach. UNI know has Iowa States old Assistant Coach. It’s time to bring back the 4 team Iowa games they used to have every year between the 4 schools. Blow this up and repost so we can make it happen.

@TravisHines21 I would love the home-home, however, I could live with the Big 4 Classic again. The reason they quit this was because of Barta. Now with an new AD, maybe they would consider. McCullum would probably veto it.

Now that T.J. Otzelberger has his former assistants at both Drake and Northern Iowa, wouldn't it be great if Iowa State reinstituted its home-and-homes with its Valley neighbors? (They won't, for reasons articulated 1,000,000 times)

@Jon_Dykstra @HoopieHighway To my knowledge Ben never posted anything like most coaches thanking Drake, the Athletic Department Leadership of the fans. He would have gone direct from NW to Iowa. He didn't need Drake and he knows it.

@moonbryan @HoopieHighway Yes, Ben loves the state of Iowa. He wanted the Drake job when DeVries was hired. He interviewed and they picked DeVries. Hardin talked openly about that

Two Questions: Do you believer Iowa would have picked off McCollum from NW Mo St? Do you think that Ben would have come if we had six 20 game losing seasons? We had a bunch of mediocre/losing seasons before Keno one 28 win season. Me personally, I would rather have six 20 win seasons that turned your program around.

@moonbryan @HoopieHighway That's fine. Again, we just disagree on the heights vs. longevity. I think that setting the program record for wins, beating an SEC team and getting a tournament win did more for Drake. But again, I respect your opinion.

@HoopieHighway @Jon_Dykstra Tucker and Darian had a bigger impact on the PROGRAM. Tucker led us to two Tournaments and probably would have been a third.

The original post was about retiring a number. There are plenty of other Drake players that are head of Bennett Stirtz. There are plenty of others with a better body of work and loyalty. Not blaming him for leaving. I thanked him in person for what he did for Drake at last year's Drake Basketball banquet. Was classy that he on the other transfers showed up (they were already in the portal).

You seem like a great guy passionate about your team. Like me. Ben (and I know him more of an acquaintance than a friend), did say " it has been a rough couple of years for me. I had resurrect two programs." on selection Sunday. We had six 20+ win seasons in the last six years. All we asked it to sustain, which he did a great job. I personally, face-to-face thanked him for what he did at Drake after he took the job. Just a couple of things he said were disappointing to me personally. It is my issue.

@moonbryan You just mispelled Bennett's name. Is that 'disrespect?' Or is that just a mistake that happens. I lean towards the latter in both you and Bennett's cases.

By the way, I don't blame Ben or Bennitt for leaving. I once took a job where I got a substantial raise. You do what is best for your family. I needed to leave town and take the job. I just don't like the lack of respect was given to Drake from those two. That stung. Do you think that Iowa would have hired Ben directly from NW Mo St.?

@moonbryan Agree to disagree on those resumes being almost equal. Blaming Bennett for Ben taking a Big 10 job is also not something I’d do. If Darian was offered a Big 10 job, he’d have also immediately left as he showed at his next opportunity. Agree to disagree though
