Happy Final Space Friday! We’ve officially started shipping orders #21,000–#30,000! 🎉 You’ll notice the order numbers jumping higher with each batch as we continue moving through fulfillment. As I said before it's because around this time Midnight Editions launched but also the order numbers include lots of other things not just novels. Are there still some orders from earlier batches making their way to you? Absolutely. Are we still shipping a handful from those batches? Yep. Most of those are orders that hit address errors or international shipping issues that require us to manually track down and correct information before they can go out. If you are worried about your order just message the contact page on the site. The good news: we’re through the vast majority of those issues, and it’s been incredible seeing so many international fans finally receiving their novels. Midnight Edition Update. Midnight Editions are moving along nicely, and we're dropping off another large shipment at the post office today. After that we'll be around the 50% mark. The good news too is it looks like we'll be able to release a chunk from (damage/exchange) inventory when this is all done. The Battle Worn Midnight Edition dust jackets have shipped to us from the printer and should arrive sometime next week. We've received a ton of emails asking if these dust jackets will be available separately, so for everyone who's been asking: we'll put a limited number on the store once they arrive. Book Tour Update. We'll be announcing Los Angeles Day 2 at Gallery Nucleus this Monday for book signing on June 28th. I’ve also reached out to Forbidden Planet about potentially setting up multiple signing stops across the UK. Right now, I'm focused on making sure we can get enough novels to each location and sorting out all the fun logistics—travel, hotels, inventory, and everything in between. After the UK run, I may take a week or two to recharge before hitting the road again. I haven't decided yet. As always, thank you for the patience and support. Shipping Update. June 1st. 2026. Had a great meeting with MacMillian to discuss where they’re at and the small of the issue they’re running into with international orders. They have fixed it. We had about 100+ orders kick back during Round 1, where they manually tracked down and fixed the addresses. After that first round, only about 15 orders got kicked back from Batch 1, Round 2 which is actually a huge improvement. Usually this means the address is unreadable, incomplete, or the computer system doesn’t know how to interpret certain non-English keyboard characters. We had a couple Arabic addresses that had trouble transferring between systems. And UK addresses are still causing a few issues but less so now. We even had someone put their name as "My Email My Email" which... haha maybe that's a real name, idk. So we’re reaching out to those people directly to update addresses or track down whatever information we need. International peeps, the good news is: they’re figuring it out and pushing through it all. I’ve already seen a few of you getting tracking numbers, which is awesome. We also now have tracking data for orders up to and beyond the 10,000-ish mark they went out today, which is great. It really feels like everyone is starting to hit their groove. MacMillian has honestly been crushing it, and I’ve been boots on the ground too packing, taping, shipping, unloading. Not a spare hand is being wasted getting these things out. This week we entered the phase of shipping orders roughly in the BATCH 3: 10,000–16,000 range while simultaneously packing 16,000–20,000-ish. And a few in BATCH 2 international. Also worth mentioning: before we started shipping, I had a choice between faster automated packaging kind of a cold-press cardboard Cheez-It box style that automatically packs and labels or the slower, stronger, more expensive cardboard T-fold boxes. We tested both. I hated how the faster packaging looked and felt. It would have moved WAY faster, but it simply wasn’t as strong. We even had one test where a puncture went straight into the book. Look, damage is unavoidable with shipping. It’s going to happen regardless of what happens, we even had a Midnight Edition get damaged and it was in a cardboard box while inside a bubble mailer haha. That’s why I set aside thousands of books that aren’t for sale purely for replacements and exchanges. I chose the slower route knowing it would add a little more time... but also a lot more protection. Was that the right move? I think so. I like doing things right the first time. Usually that means things move a little slower. But sincerely, thank you for the patience. The job isn't done, until you all have your books. Onwards! -O

Happy Final Space Friday! Honestly, Im pretty exhausted but it’s all exciting at the same time haha. I’m just packing all day all weekend and to get books out the door on the Midnight side. Once we get tracking information from MacMillian we’ll update the international for Batch 1 & 2 and USA for Batch 2. They are packing Batch 3 order numbers #10,501 to #15,500. I’ll have a big update on Monday on where we’re at, plus a few more tour stops I’ll announce then but we’re just working around the clock to get books out. Alright back to it! -O

I’m actively booking the tour; I decided to stop waiting on Regal Theaters. At a certain point, you’ve just got to say, “screw it, we’re doing this ourselves.” I wanted to drop the dates for first 5 locations (Nashville, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, and Dallas) today… buuuuut I literally just got dates for 3 more spots moments ago. Normally a publisher handles all of this but as you know it's just me and @gungnirbooks has been a huge help on that front. Right now it’s shaping up to be a June tour. Happy Final Space Friday! This week has been all about the logistics of getting these books into your hands. I had a big meeting with the Virginia distribution team where we walked through everything…how to transfer our data into their system, packaging options, shipping timelines, confirmation processes… the list goes on. The great news? These guys are pros. Nothing phased them. By the end of that call, soooo much stress lifted off my shoulders. There’s still plenty on my plate, but it was such a relief to have a team this experienced, and genuinely excited to help, in our corner. On top of that, Matthew at @gungnirbooks has been making moves…he connected with a major comic book chain on the East Coast that’s going to carry the novel and even host some signings for the book tour. I can feel the excitement starting to creep in to me. Honestly, that hasn’t been easy. From day one, this project has mostly been stress…. But with Final Space, it’s never been a smooth ride…it never has been. What’s always carried me through is the gratitude I feel getting to tell this story… and getting to share it with all of you. I’m not kidding when I say there were days where the only fuel I had left was reading your excitement. So truly, thank you for hanging in there with me!
