We need a crypto-friendly bank or fiat off-ramps for **business** ASAP. Let's say I have USDC and I want to get fiat at a business account in my bank. It takes a few **WEEKS** to set up a business account with Gemini, Coinbase, Kraken or Circle.

The last 4 years, we’ve been obsessing about off-ramps and liquidity in #crypto because inevitably there will be a fire and people will head for the exits. Small exits, more risk, less confidence, more volatility. But what’s the USD off-ramp? FX volatility is worth noticing.

@cyber_hokie You'd need to build a completely parallel system without any fiat on/off ramp - not going to happen any time soon Figuring out a way to have a decentralized on/off ramp would be a more realistic way - but havnt seen a good concept for that yet

@willywoo As an American abroad, I've learned a lot about how difficult this can be. The fees can be enormous! Instead of @Wise, now I: U.S. wire/E.U. trans > crypto exchange, swap w/o fee to stablecoin, transfer to Ethereum wallet, and then off-ramp to bank. Buy why off-ramp? ;)

Just completing a wire transfer across borders to a new recipient. Realising crypto remittance is not 10x but at least 100x more effective. Spent 6hrs on phone calls, online banking, and paper forms to execute so far. PS. 10x better is enough for a new tech to beat an incumbent.
