@Londonist They've been modernized since the 1970's as when new they had shiny varnished wooden floors, blue upholstered seats and yellow walls. Very 1970's. Oh yes of course you still had smoking compartments back then....!

Genuinely love how the Piccadilly line stock dates back to 1973. That's when Nixon was President, Pink Floyd released Dark Side of the Moon and the first UK Pizza Hut opened (in London of course) ift.tt/2GCESL2
