🚨 Do you understand what happened in the last 24 hours? > HSBC announced 20,000 job cuts.. 10% of their entire workforce.. because AI made those people unnecessary overnight > Entry-level job postings are down 35% since 2023.. the first rung of the ladder doesn't exist anymore.. you can't "get your foot in the door" when the door got automated > New businesses are creating fewer jobs.. the startups that were supposed to absorb laid-off workers aren't hiring either.. AI handles the first 5 roles now > Jensen Huang told tech CEOs to "stop scaring people about AI".. the man whose company made $216 billion selling the chips powering every layoff on this list.. his advice? "shh.. be quieter about it" > Bernie Sanders sat down and recorded a podcast with Claude AI.. asked it about mass data collection.. and the AI confirmed everything.. companies tracking your location.. your purchases.. your browsing.. selling it.. and using political microtargeting to fragment reality.. the AI snitched on its own industry to a US Senator.. on camera > They officially announced Val Kilmer is starring in a new movie.. Val Kilmer died last year.. they're using AI to resurrect him frame by frame for a film called "As Deep As the Grave" > A WNBA player launched an AI clone of herself.. fans can call it 24/7.. it has her voice.. her personality.. she doesn't even have to be awake > JPMorgan warned that $40 to $150 billion in loans could be disrupted because AI is replacing the workers whose jobs backed those loans.. the 2008 playbook but with robots instead of houses > A guy from North Carolina used AI to make hundreds of thousands of fake songs.. botted billions of streams.. and walked away with $8 million before getting caught.. first-ever criminal AI streaming fraud case all of this happened in ONE day, See you tomorrow. It'll be worse. If you're not following me you're finding out about this stuff 48 hours late from someone who read my post

🚨 Do you understand what happened in the last 12 hours? > Goldman Sachs said $450 billion in AI investment contributed "basically zero" to US economic growth.. the Chief Economist said it on record.. > Uber dropped $1.25 billion on Rivian to build 50,000 robotaxis.. the drivers who built the company are about to be replaced by the cars.. > Jeff Bezos started raising $100 billion to buy manufacturing companies and automate them with AI.. he's not building factories.. he's buying them to empty them.. > DoorDash launched an app that pays people to film themselves doing chores.. not for content.. for AI training data.. so robots can learn to replace them.. > OpenAI bought Astral.. the open source Python tools that millions of developers loved.. bolted it onto their coding agent.. the community is furious.. > Cursor dropped Composer 2.. their own AI model that beats Claude on coding benchmarks.. a 50-person startup outperformed a $30 billion lab.. > Hollywood resurrected Val Kilmer with AI to star in a new movie.. he died of cancer.. never filmed a single scene.. they built a digital version of him.. > HSBC is planning deep job cuts using AI to gut their middle and back offices.. > UK unemployment hit 5.2%.. AI hasn't even started firing people yet.. > Fortune 500 updated the AI price tag to $4.5 trillion.. 93% of US jobs vulnerable to disruption.. > Nvidia GTC is happening right now.. Jensen closed his keynote with singing robots and a digital clone of himself.. the man selling the shovels is also selling the future.. all of this happened in ONE day.. a single Thursday.. if you're not following me you're finding out about this 48 hours late from someone who read my post..

🚨 Do you understand what this man just pulled off.. > a guy from North Carolina used AI to generate hundreds of thousands of songs.. uploaded them to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon.. then botted billions of streams on his own tracks and walked away with $8 million > 660,000 fake streams per day.. spread across thousands of AI songs so nobody noticed.. $1.2 million a year.. for music no human ever actually listened to real artists are out here grinding for 0.003 cents per stream.. promoting on TikTok.. begging for playlist placements.. and this guy just had AI make the music AND the audience first-ever criminal streaming fraud case.. he's paying back $8 million.. but the playbook is out there now.. and AI just got better since he started the music industry spent 10 years fighting piracy.. now they have to fight songs that don't exist being listened to by people who don't exist.

It's sad to see former thriving towns in Middle America decay No one wants to move here Real estate is dirt cheap So I bought up land and redeveloped one Now we have hundreds of new citizens moving in, property values are rising again, and the residents have access to luxury amenities like a brand new Target This is the template for what we're going to do all over the Midwest

A man who dies by suicide at age 28 doesn't live long enough to develop arthritis. Anyway, it's important to recognise what groups like the WEF and UN do. They continually portray men and women as combatants in a zero-sum game for health attention. This is why they continually ignore the sex difference in life expectancy and focus instead on quality of life and years of life in disability. In their minds, it's a battle of the sexes. So, they go with the data that favours attention to females. This is childish. There is no reason why sex differences in life expectancy cannot be acknowledged at the same time as sex differences in years in poor health/disability, etc. All of it is important, but to them, only half of it is important.

One guy with AI and public SEC filings just exposed what a $31.5 billion private credit fund doesn't want you to see. @NickNemo17 no fund, no credentials, no institutional backing, parsed the filings for Cliffwater. What he found should terrify anyone with a pension or an annuity. The fund reports a 41-month win streak. Zero losing months. A Sharpe ratio of 3.75. For context, Bernie Madoff, who could pick any number he wanted because he was fabricating returns, chose a Sharpe of 3.5. That's how Harry Markopolos caught him. The returns were too smooth. Nick found 50 non-accruals using public filings. The fund reports zero. He found loans marked at par on businesses that have been "functionally eliminated by AI and Google." Borrowers paying 10.6% all-in on debt they can never service. No structural protection, every dollar of loss hits the fund dollar for dollar. And this isn't unique to Cliffwater. There's $13 trillion in private equity and private credit that marks its own homework. Every fund that pays its own valuation agent has the same conflict. Insurance companies backing this are levered 20-50x. This is your pension money. Your annuity. Your retirement. And it's being valued by the people who get paid more when the marks are higher.

If Biden lets in 5-10 million migrants who aren't supposed to be here, and they get to stay, that's a huge victory for the Dems who did it, and a virtual guarantee that the next Democratic administration will open the floodgates again.

Biden deliberately brought in so many migrants over 4 years that even the people who oppose it can’t fully come to terms with the numbers. 10 million is the minimum. It’s the number from the Congressional Budget Office. And even the BLS had the foreign-born population level at +7 million from Jan 2021 to Jan 2025,

I think the housing market will depreciate 40% in the next four years. The housing market correction will affect markets differently. Here is what I forecast for individual cities. LA - down 10% Seattle - down 8% Bay Area - down 7% Las Vegas - down 60% Phoenix - down 45% Denver - down 30% Dallas - down 40% Austin - down 50% Kansas City - down 10% Twin Cities - down 12% Chicago - down 15% Detroit - down 20% Cleveland - down 10% New York City - down 8% Boston - down 5% DMV - down 10% Nashville - down 25% Atlanta - down 20% Charlotte - down 15% Tampa - down 60% Jacksonville - down 65% Miami - down 20% The snowbird and transient cities are going to get hit the hardest in the housing correction. The coastal and flyover areas will be the most stable.

We sold $META over a year ago during a record-breaking 20-plus day winning streak. Our conviction only strengthened recently when the company posted blockbuster earnings last quarter, only for the stock to totally disregard it. “If all the news is great and the stock is not acting well, GET THE HELL OUT, which is a pretty simple thing most analysts don't know.” — Stanley Druckenmiller We still believe the share price will disappoint investors for years to come after rising more than 8.5X from its lows in late 2022. We would become interested buyers again, but only closer to $350 per share (plus or minus).

"Muslims make up just 6% of the population of Britain." Three things: (1) The use of the word "just" tells us a lot about the person using it. (Also, the current percentage is probably closer to 7% than 6%, and continues to increase.) (2) UK Muslims are not the mostly secular and mostly educated type of Muslims the US gets through immigration. They're far more likely to be low-performing, insular, religiously aggressive and openly contemptuous of the West. (3) Overall, I think Muslim immigrants in the US (very much unlike those in Europe) are a net asset. But I also think that we now have enough data from other Western nations that we should probably start thinking about what the tipping point might be in the Muslim percentage of our population before it starts taking on the characteristics of those in the UK and France.
William Dalrymple@DalrympleWill

Muslims make up just 6% of the population of Britain. Conspiracy theories currently being aired by right wing bigots that they are secretly plotting the Islamic domination of the country are the 21st century Islamophobes' equivalent of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and just as idiotic, and as dangerous

Zohran Mamdani has ended an Eric Adams policy of criminally charging people who drive mopeds on sidewalks and ride them the wrong way on one way streets. He is doing this to protect illegal immigrants, who come to this country from places where there are no traffic laws to work illegally as food delivery workers. These people recreate the conditions of their third-world homelands and injure or kill pedestrians. Trump should send ICE to NYC to round them up.

it’s fascinating that today modern humans are still running a credential matching algorithm disguised as attraction. e.g. 6ft, symmetrical face, status markers… these are visible proxies that compress well into a profile or a first impression yet will never tell you whether or not someone will abandon you in times of high variance entropy like if you get sick or something. the latter gets systematically underweighted because it doesn’t resolve until the option period has long expired. only when you’re older you realize that the only thing that survives the death of eros is logos.
