Approaching the full colour mode for MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, we didn't want the game to suddenly look like Toontown with bright colours everywhere. This is still a gritty, noire story being told in dirty and dank Mouseburg. So we wanted to ensure the world still reflected this when choosing the colour schemes.

@downandoutlaw Yes as we noted in another post, the HUD, guns and a few other things will still be in black and white, as this is still the very first release and there is still more work to be done!

@AndrewSketches Right now it has to be separate mods for each colour mode due to the assets being swapped upon level load right now. We are working on a better method and that will allow for it to become a toggle over time.

@mousereloaded Just wanna say, I love the game. Can you please allow us to turn off the hud and screen elements completely? Id love to zone out on the noire aesthetic without the white dot or mission objectives and health on the screen. I dont like to play with Huds.

We have also enhanced the Black and White of the game! If you want more of that dark ink look, the base version of the mod also fixes the vignette banding, enhances blacks and makes this really shine on an OLED monitor or TV Original on the Left and Enhanced on the Right

Characters will be in colour now as well! Some things that won't be in colour in the first version released: -Weapons and HUD -Menu and Car Map Those will come with later releases
