Day 2 of cutting through Beaumont’s BS ActionSA “governs” Tshwane. The mayoral committee: - Deputy Mayor: ANC - Finance: ANC - Housing: ANC - Roads & Transport: ANC - Utility Services: ANC 5 of 11 positions. The ANC lost Tshwane in 2021 (apparently). Water tanker insourcing - the delivery Beaumont is pontificating on - typically falls under Utility Services. Utility Services is ANC. Furthermore, Eugene Modise holds Deputy Mayor AND Finance. Simultaneously. With the allegations that follow him. He hasn’t been fired… why? Call it what you like. I’ll call it what it is.

Day 280: ActionSA Delivery Record Water tanker operations in Tshwane are being insourced, whilst the hundreds of millions saved on outsourcing is being spent to build water infrastructure.

@AtholT leave the spin to Beaumont. He’s had more practice. Your defence of ActionSA’s record is - what exactly? That the ANC is corrupt and the DA is inconsistent? That’s not an argument. That’s a hostage negotiation. You handed Finance, Utility Services, Housing, Roads, and the Deputy Mayor’s chair to the ANC. In a municipality you claim to run. And Eugene Modise - with everything that follows that name - holds two of those positions simultaneously. But sure. Tell us more about Andrew Whitfield. “Others are worse” is not governance.

Why has the DA not fired deputy Mayor Kolwaphi in Bitou @mrstatecapture ? Equally why did Ramaphosa fire Andrew Whitfield for going on an oversight trip but not other ministers implicated in corruption? The questions are myriad but ActionSA track record in acting against impropriety is remarkable @ME_Beaumont

Every morning until the local elections I will post the track record of ActionSA leaders like Nasiphi Moya, Herman Mashaba & Athol Trollip in fixing broken municipalities. I do this to show that ActionSA is the proven alternative to broken municipalities led by failed parties.

(8/8) White population share: 7.3%. - DA leadership since inception: overwhelmingly white. - Primary stronghold: demographically atypical of the country it wants to govern. - 2026 mayoral slate in its flagship province: names that belong in a 1980 Paarl telephone directory. None of this is secret. It is simply unsaid in polite company. Consider it said.

(7/8) The DA does not present itself as a party for white South Africans with broadly liberal economic values. It presents itself as the party for all South Africans. “One South Africa For All” is the slogan. Diversity is a listed core value. There is a word for presenting yourself as something you are not. The DA should pick one it’s comfortable with.

The Democratic Alliance: You are Fundamentally a White Party, Say It With Your Chest. Western Cape. 2026. The DA’s showcase province. Governed since 2009. Their proof of concept. Their mayoral candidates: Koos Steyn. Yves Blaauw. Dirk Kotzé. Marius Koen. Jacques du Toit. Roelof “Boffie” Strydom. In a province where the Coloured community is 48% of the population. Read those names again. Slowly.

“Folly.” Your word. Eight days before the election. Six weeks later you were on the phone with the ANC. You took the Speaker’s chair in Joburg. The mayoral chains in Tshwane. Both with ANC votes. Call it what you want. “Every party is doing it” - yes. But they didn’t spend three years calling it a moral catastrophe. You did. Not a single fact in the thread disputed. Just spin, a woodshed threat, and a sentence you couldn’t finish. Your ‘rewrite’ is about as compelling as 200 days of taking credit for a delivery record built under another political party. Try again, Mike.

Lets rewrite this shall we? ActionSA did indeed previously campaign on the platform of anyone but the ANC, that is undeniably true. Before 2024 we joined a pre-election pact with parties to provide an alternative. This turned out to be a collective bargaining platform to grovel for seats in the ANC's GNU. We stayed out, declined a ministerial post and took up seats in the opposition - no state funded BAEcations for us. Now only one party in South Africa is not in coalition with the ANC and that is MK (not for a lack of effort in KZN). So good luck choosing a party if this is the hill you choose to die on. We proudly collapsed a demonstrably failed coalition in Tshwane that bankrupted the capital city and failed to deliver services and replaced it with an ActionSA-led coalition which has stabilized the city and is delivering to all. PS: The efforts of a narrow group to contrive who may and may not work with the ANC is as immature as the notion that failing coalitions must be propped up because they are led by incompetent Mayors who look like you. The only language that matters is delivery. The GNU is not delivering and Tshwane is. So return to your handlers before you get taken to the woodshed again, because my conscience is clear.

Herman Mashaba has called Helen Zille: a dark force, anti-poor, clueless about JHB, a racist etc. He left the DA in 2019. Founded a party. Lost a mayoral race. Lost a presidential bid. Held 0 elective conferences. She has lived rent-free in his head through every single failure.

11/11 He spent years demanding voters know which parties would “prop up the ANC.” Then he made sure they only found out he would - after they’d already voted.

10/11 “Never” → formal termination of talks → “without any ambiguity, never” → “folly to even consider it” → eight days after the election → ANC phone call → positions accepted. A lie with a paper trail.
