Happy for Tiago, upstanding guy. Former Rockets assistant was key in building Alperen Şengün’s game. Tiago on Alperen in 2023: “He’s such a talented player. @AdmiralKrank The playmaking point is one of the main notes we hit in the pod. Rockets, especially without FVV last year, desperately needed Alperen’s playmaking. Chet is effectively a 3-and-D piece, albeit a very impressive one.

@JGold530 @LockedOnRockets I think Chet is a human eraser, would be DPOY if Wembanyama didn’t exist. Having said that, Alperen’s offensive versatility and proven production makes him more value, imo.

"THE KOBE ASSIST". In 2012, Kirk Goldsberry unveiled a unique statistical phenomenon where 15% of Kobe Bryant's missed shots led directly to points. Kobe's perimeter gravity was so immense that his heavily contested shots regularly drew double and triple teams, leaving opposing defenses completely out of position to box out. In many instances, Kobe would deliberately attack a defense knowing his trailing big men possessed the rebounding advantage. Goldsberry calculated that Kobe's team scored off 15% of his misses, meaning that a league leading 54% of his total shot attempts resulted in points. Kobe Bryant didn't care about FG%. Kobe Bryant cared about WINNING.

There are three of these giant misting stations spread across the Fan Festival. Also multiple stations for water refills, free sunscreen and hand sanitizer. It’s a hot and humid day here in Houston. Definitely a solid test case of the various beat-the-heat measures installed.
