Well what a shock. Newsom signed SB145, the bill that allows a 24 year old to have sex with a 14 year old and escape a felony conviction and requirement to be a registered sex offender. Absolutely disgusting.

@overthenonsense @Scott_Wiener @senatormelendez That statement is misleading, the bill extends already existing judiciary discretion to other forms of sex. Judges have had this discretion since 1944.

But the judge would have no discretion if he was poking his 17-year-old *boyfriend*. Protect your son, support SB145.

@Scott_Wiener @senatormelendez I'm not seeing where you have specified that it only applies to minors 14-17 years old (which 14-24 is bad enough) on the bill. It states "if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor and if that offense is the only one requiring the person to register." That's it

@helenrey @fnoschese I taught at an IB school in Shanghai that had a lab technician and he was a godsend. Even built us a model electrostatic smokestack scrubber that cleaned particles from candle smoke, it was amazing.

@fnoschese Also, in the UK every HS has one or more lab technicians to put out equipment and put it back. I didn't appreciate that is why there are so many 'kits' in the US... teachers don't have time to set things up. It does increase the cost though...
