I would kill to be able to afford WSJ #34 1994 for the sole purpose of reading it since the pages are larger and arguably nicer than the tankobon volumes.
Magazines are meant to be read. I’m so glad grifters like Logan Paul are ruining yet another hobby of mine.

I grew up on the DS Pokémon games, but I was still able to play the older games on hardware as a kid since they weren’t ridiculously expensive secondhand.
My younger cousins who grew up on the Switch don’t have the same luxury thanks to these grifters, and it breaks my heart.

Pokémon is a franchise for CHILDREN.
WSJ is a magazine for YOUNG BOYS.
People of all ages can enjoy them of course, but it’s disgusting when grifters like Logan Paul turn these things into an economic circlejerk & make it impossible for the target demographic to enjoy them.

I used to work at a country club, and I remember overhearing someone saying “you should start investing in Pokémon cards, they’re a real market these days.” These people view our hobbies as assets. Trading cards are meant to be traded & played. It’s in the name.
