They were close to him & his circle. They also always had the right information regarding Wirtz's transfer. They are the most reliable ones

Adam Wharton is brilliant when it comes to creating chances higher up the pitch, and his passing ability is exceptional, but he’s got some weaknesses in his game too.
The first graphic shows his post-recovery sequences (carries + passes). His passing accuracy post-recovery is good (77.5%). He’s excellent when it comes to progressive passes, and he is placed amongst the best midfielders in the league in this area.
The second graphic show his progressive actions in the half-spaces this season, where he has 40 progressive passes and 2 progressive carries. Again, this highlights his brilliant passing ability. On the graphic, you can also see where the passes are sent from and where they end up. 14/40 progressive passes are into the opposition’s 16 metres.
On the third graphic, you can see a list of the top 30 midfielders in the PL when it comes to defensive duels won per 90, where Adam Wharton ranks 29th. He wins 3.6 defensive duels per 90 out of 5.89 attempted. This is something he could work on. I’d say it’s a weakness, but it’s not as big a problem as some make it out to be.
Then you can see a list of the top 15 midfielders in the PL when it comes to sliding tackles per 90. Adam Wharton is ranked 11th with 0.84, which is not bad.
Personally, I think he’d bring a lot to Liverpool, especially with his passing ability. He can take the role Trent had before he left, which has been missed this season. His defensive game obviously makes me a little sceptical, but overall he’s a great midfielder.
