@namedinstant Nah that's just because I edited it off of Lewtwo's scan, which is very pinkish looking for some reason (just because it was the highest quality version I know of, so I could edit a small detail easily)
But that's a reasonable idea to have so you still get a cookie -> 🍪

@Ladyimpulse Yuma, Shark, Kite, Astral, and most of the arc villains like Tron and Vector get screentime, wins, interesting dynamics with other characters, and resolutions. Nothing feels half-baked or unsatisfying with regard to them.

@Ladyimpulse I can think of some but the main thing it does is deliver a main cast that pretty much exclusively Works and have satisfying arcs and plenty of screentime and presence. Nobody gets sidelined or given a terrible ending or humiliated.

@namedinstant @The_Teal_Mask Hell no, XYZ is so ass at certain points and just turns into the most generic thing ever. It's like I'm watching Bakugan and not Pokemon. "Hype" and "aura" moments don't make a story better

Y si os dijera que existe un JRPG muy raro que debido a su mezcla de generos hubo un tiempo donde fue muy dificil de definir? Ese juego se llama "Sigma Harmonics" y es una de las mayores rarezas del género. Lo desarrolló Square Enix para la Nintendo DS. Este titulo no es solo un JRPG, también hay investigación de asesinatos, viajes en el tiempo y combates ritmicos mediante un sistema de cartas. El protagonista se llama Sigma y debe viajar al pasado para investigar casos que estan influyendo en el presente y lo hará luchan con cartas de sonido. Ademas la manera en la que se juega os recordarà a juegos como Hotel Dusk ya que tienes que coger la DS en "modo libro". Detras de este juego esta su director y guionista Hiroki Chiba (千葉 広樹). Chiba san influyó juegos como guión de Chrono Trigger y Final Fantasy VI como planificar de eventos/guión. Su experiencia se nota mucho ya que le gustan mucho los viajes y paradojas temporales. Tambien estuvo en el proyecto su productor Yoshinori Kitase (北瀬 佳範) que es una de las figuras mas famosas de toda la industria. Su toque permitió que el equipo experimentase con mecánicas fuera de lo común, como el modo libro. Este juego nunca salio de Japón.

@Waterplankton @snorter23 I’d say it’s generally accepted to be in the top 5 of completed parts, but which ones it beats out totally depends on whether you fw its unique vibes because there’s really no other part even kinda like it. It’s barely anything like JoJolion and that part is set in Morioh!

@freakonalaesh The fact that Denji and Asa and Yoru, even at the very end, just got sucked right back into their sex-violence-ownership vortex, goes to show that they could never get out on their own. We needed to see another possibility where they’re never trapped in the first place.

@freakonalaesh I think part of it is that what Part 2 is doing is showing WHY vicious cycles of self-harm and abuse are so hard to escape, you can’t get out if you keep throwing yourself back at it twice as hard. If Denji and Asa escaped and healed, it wouldn’t show just how bad this can get.

@The_Teal_Mask I get wanting the mainline series to return to more down-to-earth vibes where characters feel less “costumed” but this is an example of a character and story that are so much better for being heightened anime hype moments and aura.

@expo_pkmn @Elite_4_J But Porygon has to be traded too, right? Up-Grade and Dubious Disk evolve as a trade held item in every game but LA to my knowledge

@Yonazani @Fan7Xeno I get what he’s saying, there aren’t enough modern SJ series that are approachable and appealing to kids, which means less kids are going to grow up with an attachment to the brand, and thus we get less future mangaka. But come on that shouldn’t be levied at individual series.

@expo_pkmn @Elite_4_J Porygon needs to be traded in every game but Legends Arceus which runs into the same issue. Wouldn’t it need to be something like, “within two copies of the same game?”

@Elite_4_J Legends Arceus totally ruins this fact unfortunately. Friendship Pokemon don't need to level up in it, so Togepi also counts.
So now you have to add "in one game" to the end of the riddle.
