Congratulations to the twitterless Dr. Malay Mandal and the Clark lab on this outstanding publication further defining the role of BRWD1 on B cell chromatin architecture. #Bib1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">nature.com/articles/s4159…

Spotted on my call sheet for tomorrow. I don't know, folks, this might be my toughest role yet.

@Kanan_BV I also remember how your HS improv career ended. Did any of that come up in class?

@Ian_G_Waters So true. Many of my first year grad classes felt like it was about who could best tear apart each paper.

When scientific training equates competency with finding flaws in presentations, posters, and papers you have to intentionally work to take a more positive approach. I'm still trying to swap a reflex to critique for recognizing good aspects and generating helpful ideas.

My friend & colleague recently published an article in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, which ties together her narrative as Black women in STEM to strategies & dialogue geared towards dismantling institutional racism in medical centers. #MedTwitter

M1 Year done!! ✅ Learned a few hard lessons along the way: 1. Learning medicine doesn't come easy to me 2. Prioritizing my own needs often feels selfish 4. Better off sleeping more and not getting sick 5. I'm going to mess up a lot and that's ok

Example: I don't have time/class availability to join the school's winds ensemble, but I do have time to participate in the medical school's a-cappella group. (I've never been a singer, but it lets me exercise my love for music.)

The big adjustment for me was finding ways to stay curious, involved with, and engaged in my other hobbies/interests with a lot less free-time (and also finding ways to stay curious about my course work to the extent that I can).
