To celebrate my wife Ashley and her sister Jen’s birthday - I made one of Ashley’s favorites that I make: carnitas, guacamole, salsa. These carnitas are seared on a cast iron, braised in the smoker for hours. These carnitas are braised in milk, beer, orange, cinnamon, bay, ancho, cumin, chili powder. Dang good. I listened to Rodrigo Y Gabriela the whole time - as I always do when making Mexican food. ¡Buen provecho!

I like to try and spice it up with some Steve Harris meets Geezer Butler type lines, sometimes try to do inversions with guitar playing 3rd and 5th with bass playing root or vise versa. I dont always get the desired outcome however.

Hard at work preparing for upcoming tour dates with Sanctuary! Trying to be respectful to the original while injecting a little of my own style in there. As a follow-on, I put the wing tips in the steam water along with some vegetables to make a stock that I turned into a gravy with cubed chicken breast for dinner the next day.

Chicken Wing experiment: 1. After dry brine / 15 minute steam / cool down 2. After baking 3. Sauces added

I come from a time when even we Americans and westerners could humanize Nazi's in popular media. There was a time in America where you could understand this without being called a nazi. There was a time you could be proud of your people and nation without being compared to them. I remember that time. I'm not that old.
