and now, hopefully, mark gets to create only when he feels inspired, take care of himself in ways he didn’t have time for before, and rediscover who he is outside of being “mark from nct.” to simply be mark lee, without expectations tied to him :’)

what a delightful thought it is to imagine mark now traveling wherever he wants and exploring aimlessly without having to rush to perform and leave. to experience boredom without guilt, and to spend time simply existing at his own pace.

Mark’s departure from NCT has brought very complicated feelings in all of us and if anyone needs someone to talk to just to help process things, our DMs are open. 💌 We hope to provide some comfort during this time. 🫶

we’re all trying to parse our emotions and are fully going through + circling the stages of grief in our own pace. im here bargaining asking why didn’t mark just leave sm and not nct? 😭 idk if we’ll know the answer but give it time and let’s see what mark brings us in the future

positive and negative reactions to mark’s departure from nct are somewhat heartwarming: some are happy for him bc mark deserves and has earned this moment of decision while some are angry with him for not putting nct first etc. both show the impact mark has on so many lives.

if anything, this is the one time we should support him fully, not because of what he’s done for us, but because he finally chose what’s best for him. and if any believe he is being selfish, then so be it, he has earned every right to finally be selfish for once.

so maybe this time, instead of questioning him, we can respect the fact that he chose himself. after everything he’s given, i think he’s earned the right to make that choice without being reduced to accusations.

seeing people say mark “betrayed” nct or 127 is honestly frustrating. i don’t think some people fully understand the level of dedication he’s given over the past 10 years. his career wasn’t just busy, it was nonstop in a way most people couldn’t sustain.
