I need this movie to be amazing because I need filmtwt to turn around on Iñárritu.
All I’m saying is revisit Amores Perros and tell me he’s untalented. Hell, rewatch Birdman, I maintain that it’s a masterpiece, it just is portraying very flawed ugly pretentious characters!

probably my least fav in the Supporting Actress category this year but that’s really bc it was ridiculously stacked
this is a really fun and memorable villain role! definitely much more than *just* a career win, the Academy loves villain roles!

something like the Madigan win is basically a better version of the JLC win

hot take perhaps but these are all great performances and the only problem with some of them winning is their year's contexts. that Oscar win has clouded so many of you from remembering JLC is fantastic in EEAAO (even is Hsu is leagues better)
